I know it's not "Pirates of the Caribbean" but I still plan on purchasing a copy of THM for my video library. My Sunday paper didn't have anyone with a sale price.

The only prices I saw were $19.99 for DVD at Target and $5.00 off when purchasing THM with another Disney DVD at BestBuy.

Has anyone seen a better deal?

I ordered a HM DVD this morning from Costco.com.
$17.99
I am not a Costco member, so I was charged an additional 90 cents.
With shipping, fee and tax the total was $22.76.
Plus, I should receive a certificate to redeem for a free Tower of Terror Disney pin. :Pinkbounc

Wal Mart prices:
$18.96 DVD
$14.96 VHS

I considered getting the VHS to save a few dollars but I knew my son would enjoy all the extras you get on the DVD so I went ahead and got it. We plan to watch it tonight.:)

I thought WalMart would probably have the best price, but wasn't sure. I can't imagine why no body is advertising their price or why they wouldn't have the usual low intro price with regular price beginning the following week.

Kroger is advertising "a special price". They advertised the a special price for "Pirates" but their idea of special was $22.95 during introductory week when everyone else had it for $15.99 or less.

Bestbuy.com has it for $16.99 and the prices are usually consistent in the stores. I haven't seen that offer you mentioned advertised around here. But my experience is that Walmart & Best Buy consistently have the best prices on new releases. Target never seems to have a better deal. :wave2:

Nebraska Furniture Mart has it for 9.95 (with mail-in rebate), for those of you that live in the greater KC area or Omaha. I live quite a ways from either, but take the ad into Best Buy or WalMart and have them price match it.

My Circuit City has it for 15.99 also. That was about the best price I seen out there.

alliecats, our local Wal Mart generally has the best price long term, but usually our Target will have a better price the first week of introduction of a Disney title and then go up to the regular price the following price. For example, Wal Mart has Brother Bear for $15.88 as their regular price for DVD but Target had it for $14.99 the first week and then $19.99 after the first week.

BTW, I pre-ordered Bother Bear and others when they come with lithos figuring paying full price is just paying the difference to get the lithos but there were no lithos with THM. I guess Disney owns the images they create for animation but would have to pay actors royalties to use their images on lithos. But they could have included movie posters like the promos they gave out in advance of "Pirates" that don't have any of the actors likenesses in them.

Princess Tink, does NFM have a web site?

Blockbuster always has a deal on new release DVD's where you trade in an old DVD and you get a new release for $12.99. I'm sure they have The Haunted Mansion included in this special.
