Haunted Mansion Down?

Heard Haunted Mansion was closed today - technical issues. Anyone know what went wrong?

On the magic kingdom after hours thread someone was on it and the doom buggies failed to rotate backward when they went down out of the attic. A very unique breakdown. Seems something jammed the mechanism that rotates them possibly

If it’s down tomorrow you will get an anytime Fastpass for any ride...:don’t replace it!

I saw on another site that guest services at MK was reporting the ride would be down for three days(today included) or until they could fix it. Don't know of that's true, but it sounds like a nasty breakdown.

They’ve had some really weird issues there lately. Between this, the jungle cruise, Peoplemover, and I noticed 7DMT was down all day yesterday and part of this morning. What’s going on?!

My 3 crackpot theories:

1) self sabotage by Chapeck so that a price hike can be justified for needed maintenance
2) a cursed idol was dug up on the Tron site
3) production is secretly underway for a Kingdom Keepers series for Disney +

Ive never seen anything excluded at MK since there aren’t tiers..I would guess 7DMT’s fast pass line will be pretty long if everyone gets multi experience FPs for haunted mansion though!

Just had this happen last week and at other times. Last week was consistent with other experiences that Mine Train and Peter Pan are excluded.

You will get a multiple experience pass. If it changes over, immediately check the app and book another fastpass. You can pick another. That's how we were able to get rides while at WDW.

Everytime we get a any pass it works on everything but 7dmt. I was so disappointed.

Happened to us yesterday. Another FP automatically showed up that was good for anything except 7DMT, Meet Mickey at Town Square or Peter Pan.

Not according to the app at the moment. Reports - if they are to be believed - seem to suggest it might be prolonged downtime (what that really means, I have no clue).
