haunted mansion down in september?

I read in a thread that haunted mansion down during September to prepare it for halloween. Do they shut it down early in the month? Haunted Mansion is my sons favorite ride he will be very disappointed if he cannot ride it. We will be at
DLR Sept 2-6.

HM will be down then. Every year it is down from late Aug until mid Sept to add the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. It goes down again in early Jan to remove the overlay.

Yup...as HydroGuy said, the best guess is that HM will be down from 8/25 through 9/11 (inclusive) this year to get it's Nightmare Before Christmas overlay installed. It will re-open at the start of HalloweenTime, which is guessed to be on 9/12 this year.

Thank you for your responses. We may have to move our dates for the Halloween festivities. Thankfully there is time to make new plans.
