Phylis the carriage driver was telling us about the Haunted Hayrides at FW during October. She said it includes a headless horseman.

Has anyone gone on it?

I've heard of the haunted hayrides but thought it might be too scary for my little girl... still I would love to know details also as we will be at wdw early Oct... doing mnsshp of course!:scared: :scratchin

It was really cool! We went on Saturday night and it also was a sellout. We went to the kennel right at 9am to purchase our tickets and were able to choose from many times for that evening. We chose the 7:40pm ride and were back in time to go down to the campfire/sing-along and movie. The ride itself was really fun and a gentleman told of the legend of sleepy hollow. They rode us out into an area where the story unfolded. I won't give away the "scarey" ending but it was alot of fun and the kids "believed"!! My kids were 5 and 8 when we went last October and they loved it. They are the kind of kids that liked to be scared though and I reminded them that we were at Disney and it was only a depiction of the real story!

Hope this helps!

Do they have hayrides during the rest of the year besides October?? How much are tickets and what are ride times (if they do run besides October)?

And one more question please, the camp-fire sing along and movie, is that just for Fort Wilderness Campground guests or any resort guests? Is there a charge and times please??

thanks!

Note sure about the Hayride cost but yes they do have ride all year. As for the Camp-Fire it is for all Resort gust not just FW

Can you book this ahead of time? Is there a phone number? Also where do we buy tickets?

They do offer regular hayrides throughout the year but only offer the haunted hayride on select dates in the month of October. I do not think you can buy these tickets in advance. The regular hayride the best I can recall is 8$ for adults and 4$ for kids. Ft. Wilderness phone is 407-824-3508. Ride times are at 7pm and 930pm and depart from Pioneer Hall.
