I am wondering what the "norm" is for carrying baggage into your room at OKW. We have always assisted the baggage person in carrying our bags into our room. Then I was told that we should be allowing him or her to carry them all in since we are tipping them for all the bags. Any thoughts..... We just want to be part of the "norm" whatever it may be.

Why not just do what feels right to you? I'm sure that some people let Bell Services handle everything and others (including us) pitch in and help them. I say that if it feels right to you to help out then do that.

We drive to our room and load it all up ourselves. I guess if you fly and need to be driven to your room in a golf cart, you would use bell services.

I always let bell services carry all the bags. I've tried to help but they just smile and say "No, you're on vacation!" If we're on an upper floor I make sure to tip extra.

If we rent a car, we take it to the villa ourselves and unload the car. By this time, DH is tipped out from the trip, anyway! If we use a towncar, the driver always unloads our stuff. I guess the only time we have used the bellhops is when we transfer villas during the stay or get dropped off by Mears.

When we have used a towncar the driver unloads our luggage to a bellhop who in turn loads it into a golf cart and drives to our villa. Has anyone had the towncar take them directly to their villa after they have checked in?
