On our last trip with my grandchildren, ages 8 & 10 at the time, the youngest sat down on a bench outside the Riverside Mill and removed his lanyard. When he got up to leave, he forgot the lanyard was laying there. It had all the pins he had collected and his KTTW caed in a sleeve.
In a moment he realized he didn't have it, turned around, and it was gone. He was devistated.
We went to the lobby and told them what happened. The manager came out, looked up our records and said the card would be replaced. He then went into his office. When he came back out, he not only had a replacement card, but a new lanyard and a set of 10 exclusive pins that hadn't even been issued yet.
I consider that going way beyond what I would have expected him to do. That child went from total dispair to the happiest person in the world.
That's why I always stay at a Disney resort. They take care of their guests.
