Well, I spoke too soon about these updates. Just ran the latest one and now my speakers don't work anymore.

HP has the worst updates. My hp printer updates screw up my computer all the time. So I don't install them anymore.

After dealing with HP while trying to find a new computer, I now refuse to ever use one of their systems. The lack of knowledge was ridicules.

We have two HPs and love them. We have had no problem with either. Norton...now that's another story. I HATE those programs. Our anitvirus is the free AVG version and works great. I run spyware and malware periodically. As for the computers, we haven't had any issues with the desk top or the laptop. I'd buy HP again in a heartbeat. The one I hate is Gateway!! Don't even get me started.........

Edited to say: Now, if I had the money, it would be Mac all the way in this house. THAT isn't happening anytime soon, so I still like my HPs.

The best PC we ever had was an HP so I can't relate. Now I could talk for days about Dell however...
