Has your Amazon Prime shipping really slowed?

I expect it will be up to each individual customer and whether it is "worth it" for them. For the casual consumer who doesn't buy a whole lot, doesn't have a Kindle, and doesn't use the streaming on their home TV, it may no longer be worth it. For someone like me, who shops a lot on amazon, reads books and watches streaming on the Kindle, and watches streaming on our home tvs, it is still absolutely worth it.

With so many people having bought it, amazon may have been having problems getting orders fulfilled and shipped with the 2-day shipping. Maybe they were not just looking to increase revenue, but to eliminate some users that were not making money for them.

My Prime just renewed automatically 5 days ago! Talk about timing :goodvibes I'll decide in a year if it is worth $20 more per year. It will probably depend a lot on their shipping service in between now and then.

I had an order that was to be delivered this past Tuesday. It hadn't arrived by about 9pm so I decided to complain (for the first time!). I emailed them and got a response at 10:45pm saying they checked the tracking and it had been delivered at 10:30pm. Sure enough, it was out there. Never seen them deliver that late (other than at Christmas).

You may very well be right! :)

Oh, I will have to do the math and decide if it is worth it to me. I don't have a kindle and I use Netflix for my streaming. So the only really thing I use is the free shipping. However, I do buy one of my over the counter medications on Amazon due to them having the best price for the size and a bunch of other stuff (including books, DVDs, refills for my litter genie, and other stuff like that). So I have to figure out if I buy enough for the shipping.

However, I do still think it is silly to complain about how "big" of an increase it is when this is the FIRST increase ever for this.

I have to offer that a 25% increase is nothing silly. Does not matter that it is the first increase, the end result is a higher cost to the consumer.

Sorry if this was already mentioned. There was a news story today about amazon being sued over amazon prime. The allegation is those who use prime are paying higher prices. Not sure if there's anything to it...

Do you have a link to the story? I did a quick search and could not find anything. Thanks! :)
