I booked our first Disney trip in may and now we are only a couple days (3) away from going to Disney. I called them to confirm that they had our flight info so we can get on the bus from the airport. While I was on the phone I also asked where I can pick up out tix on Sunday for the parks. She said we can't get them til Monday bc that's when our package starts (we got the free dining and tix package) that begins Monday sept 2. But I booked 1 separate night at the CBR ( we are staying at the same hotel for the other package) bc we were going from Sunday thru Friday but free dining didn't start til Monday ( make sense?) so I booked the one night as a separate reservation. Anyway so now they tell me we can't use our tix til Monday bc that's when the package starts but I told her before I booked my Package online I called and ask many questions and double checked to see if I could do what I was doing ( pick up our tix Sunday). Has this happened to anyone? Did they let you get your tix early?

They have to tell you that for some strange reason. Don't worry, you can pick your tickets up early.

For some reason it is official policy for the phone CMs to tell guests that they can not do early ticket pickup. No idea why. It has been like that for awhile now. However, as of now, you can still do it. You need to go to guest relations at DTD or the parks.

Just a helpful tip, my family had great luck picking up their tickets early at Epcot GR. Took less than 5 min. It took a longer at MK, but they were very nice about it. Take the instructions from the ticket sticky with you though wherever you pick them up. It will really speed it up if the CM is not familiar with the process. Have fun!

What is the ticket sticky?

Under theme parks and attractions. There is a sticky that hangs at the top that talks all about tickets.
Yes, you can pick up your tickets up to 3 days before your package. We arrive Saturday and our package starts Monday with the free dining. CM have to tell you it can't be done but as of right now, it can. It can always change though.

This is a link to the Ticket Sticky, "Everything About WDW Tickets." Go to Post 15, item "I. Picking up Package Tickets Prior To Start Of Package."

Do this at any Park Guest Relations (in front of every entry) or one of 2 DTD Guest Relations facilities. Don't try it at the Water Parks. Make sure you have your package reservation info with when you do this, to make it go quick and easy.

Last year we picked up our tickets early from the ticket box office located at Disney Quest. It was so easy, and the cast member was so helpful.

The only problem is that you will have to use a paper ticket (card) for the rest of your stay to gain entry to the parks. For some reason, when you pick up your tickets early, they are unable to add them to your "Key To The World" card when you check in for your free dining package reservation. It's not a big deal really, just a little bit of an inconvenience. Each person in your party will have 1 card (paper ticket) for the theme parks, and 1 "Key To The World" card for everything else.
