Last week I called to check on my upcoming reservation and to check to see if there were different dates available (bounceback next Sept) well in the process I was speaking to someone who could barely speak english and she kept saying that I had numerous profiles in the system and that she didn't know which reservation I was talking about. She kept insisting that there was all these people who lived in my home, now some of the names (she gave me only first names) sounded like family members, old neighbors, friends, who I have NEVER been to Disney World with nor never have been to Disney World in their lives, but I just thought they were common names like Donna, Judy, etc. along with names I never heard of. She kept asking me over and over if I knew these people and kept asking over and over if they lived in my household. I kept telling her no, I would know if they did, lol. She said well then you must have traveled with them before because you have numerous profiles and in order for her to check on my reservation, I needed to be more specific. I kept asking for a supervisor and she would NOT put one on, I could not understand her and kept thinking she was just making a mistake, well FINALLY she got a supervisor who told me that she found my reservation and that the other CM's could not see what she sees on her screen (makes perfect sense to me) and that the other CM must have just been confused. WELL, tonight I am on the computer and my sister IM's me and said that she got something from Disney so she opened it and it was a bill and she couldn't figure out why she was getting a bill from Disney, then she looked at the names and it was MINE! She was all kinds of confused so she asked me how did they get her address and I said I have NO idea. She said it had my family's names, dates of travel, where I was staying, how much it was, what was due and my phone number and account number on it. My sister and I don't have the same last names, we're both married and I've been married for 13 years and her 10 and she lives in Florida, I live in MA and we've NEVER been to Disney World together, she went once with her family a few years ago and they stayed at Shades of Green. I have never even mentioned her name, ever, in my reservations, I mean why would I?? I was FURIOUS, so I called Disney and the CM (who spoke English clearly) first thing out of her mouth was "oh my goodness, you have a bunch of profiles!" I said, look Disney must have purchased a "list" of some sorts and they have old neighbors and family member names on it, she insisted they don't do that, so she put me on hold for over 40 minutes to try and straighten this out. I mean they sent my personal information to someone else. What the HECK is going on with Disney?? I am about to cancel my reservation for next year, honesty, I'm afraid who's going to get my information next. I don't want to sound like I am overracting, but I am lucky it went to my sister and not a stranger or god forbid a relative I dislike, who knows maybe it has already. They asked me if my step sister lived with me and they gave me her married name, how would they connect my step sister with me, we've had two totally different names each all our lives. My step sister has never ever been to Disney World in her life, so I have no idea how they would ever have her name. They're going to get back with me because the central reservation people have multiple profiles and this is irritating me, I am just wondering who my info is going to next. I don't want my family to know how much I pay for my vacations, it's none of their business. They also wouldn't tell me who else was on my profile they kept saying "we're fixing it now" and I said who else is on there, I want to know who can potentially get my information next and she just kept saying "we're going to fix this" :confused3

Has anyone else's personal information gone to anyone else in their family and has anyone else been told they have numerous profiles with family members or strangers on there? If not, have you had any problems with them not finding your reservations?

Good grief, what a horrible mess! I don't think you are overreacting at all, I would be just as worried and upset to have my personal info sent to the wrong address.

I hope this gets straightened out quickly.

YIKES!!

I have had problems with my "profile". Apparently, when you traveled in the past with other people, on every following trip the computer always wants to place every single one of these other people with you in the room, even if they aren't going. I tried to book a solo trip once, and somehow wound up booking 3 ROOMS filled with me and other family members who weren't even going and I haven't traveled with in years! Imagine my shock when I got that bill! :faint: I was angry because I could tell the CM on the phone was not paying close attention, even when I kept saying this was a solo trip.

It just seems many CMs aren't trained properly to handle the computer, or so lowly paid they just don't care. OP - hope they somehow straighten out that mess! But I wouldn't be surprised if everything remained screwed up. :(

Thats just horrible, and its very creepy too. I would definately investigate that issue alot closer, how in the world did they get all of those people linked to you? I would think that not only do they have to fix the problem, they need to give you a really good explanation of how it happened. I think they should also compensate you somehow. Good luck, and keep us posted on the outcome.

This is somewhat related. I keep getting disney visa card offers in my brothers name sent to my address. He vacationed with my family last Fall. We live in GA, he lives in Florida....:confused3 I hope everything gets worked out for you:grouphug:

I am having friends staying with us this trip to Disney. I certainly don't want my mail / bills and personal information sent to her. Gosh, my brother just before he died this summer was a victim of indentity theft. Crippled his credit for quite some time. Someone Spent $20,000 on his visa, then opened another visa, 2 mastercards and home depot card. We are still trying to clear his good name, still bothers me as he died with this over his head....

Personal information falling in the wrong hands can be so very damaging. I am living it and my my late brother spend his last couple of months trying to clear his name....

I would be very angry. I have seen first hand horror of personal information gone astray!

We've been getting postcards with the names of family members that have went with us on previous cash trips to Disney. The post cards are addressed to them with our address.

That's really kind of creepy what you've got going on.

IMO, the creepiest thing about all this is the fact that the people on your profiles have NEVER been to WDW with you! :scared1:

Where did those names come from? :confused3

Yes I am still very upset. The problem I have is this, I have NEVER been to Disney World with ANY of those family members, ever. I've never even booked a vacation and cancelled with them before. Judy (I am assuming they mean her) is my mother, but her and I have never stepped foot in Disney World together, we have different last names (her for over 20 years, she remarried) and the last time she went was when Epcot was built and she stayed off site somewhere. The step sister thing is really bothering me, because we've never in our lives shared the same name and the last time we lived together was in 1989 and we had different last names then than we do now :confused3 The other names she was rattling off that first night I never heard of, just remember having a neighbor once named Dan, she didn't give last names. I am used to Disney tracking my info and my kids birthdates and stuff like that, they keep putting my oldest DD on our reservation who hasn't been to Disney with us the last two trips due to college, but no big deal, I would expect that, but all those other relatives and people??? I can't make any kind of sense of this at all. I will update you guys when and if I hear back from them, but I must tell you, I don't believe I will ever know the truth.

I know exactly what you are talking about! I have only been going to disney since 2002 but I have taken both vacations with my immediate family, extended family and a business convention trip. Well, for the business trip, since I had been before, I booked everyones travel. There were nearly 20 people in all from the company I was with. Now, I receive offers in the mail for them, when I call to book a new vaca I always have to go over every detail of whos going with us. My sis in law who went with us on our first trip says she's still getting the offers for my hubby at her house! It is absolutely insane and Disney really needs to get a handle on this. Especially when you've booked with newer information recently. It is absolutely mind blowing and I sure hope they get it worked out for you!

My niece and her daughter went to WDW with my daughter and I last May. We stayed at BWV. Just the other day, I recieved a Disney Visa offer for my niece in the mail. This didn't sit right with me at all. Is this why they want to know all of the names of the people in the room?

CREEPY!!!!! We have been to Disney over 30 times, never taking any extended family members with us. YET, each time I call to make a reservation it comes up listed under my deceased mother in law who NEVER went to Disney or had anything to do with it. My brother in law who has also never been is listed in the info too. I have never been able to get a good explanation out of them as to how this happened. Since I have made reservations with them over 30 times with the same info, how can they screw things up so badly??:confused3

You know, this needs to get fixed fast. There is something rotten in Denmark here, how on earth can a deceased woman who's never been to Disney World with you be on your reservation???? This is what I am talking about, what is going on? If someone else gets my personal information, I mean my sister knew how much my vacation was and how much I put down everything, I was lucky it was her (but still not happy that she knows how much my family pays for our vacations, not that she cares at all) she was just confused how they got her address, she feels violated too in a way. They tried to tell me at first that the agent just copied and pasted the wrong address to which I replied "and the wrong address just happens to be my sister who lives in Florida? How lucky of a shot was that?" and then she kept saying "we're going to fix this" If I were you, I would call them and find out just who is on your profile and have them fix this immediately. They computer has gone haywire and the list they have purchased or the agency they're using to solicite business, if one exists, has screwed up royally here. I am still worried that even if they fix it as far up as corporate, the CM's in the central reservation office have different information on their screens that the supervisors and guest services can't see in a glance, they have to search.

I asked a cast member about this one time, as my boyfriend is getting stuff in the mail with my last name on it and vice versa. I asked them to list everyone under my name. I had aunts, uncles and cousins who I have never been to Disney with on my list! How does this happen?!? Disney is very well connected on the internet. No, they do not buy lists from other companies, but do you realize how many websites, sister websites, third party websites Disney owns and operates? A LOT! I asked my cousin (who I didn't even know went to Disneyworld) if my name was on his profile. He called and sure enough it was. The only thing we could figure is that years ago, he ordered some stuff from the Disney Catalog. The catalog had my name on it, and he ordered over the internet and used a promotion code. That is the only way we could figure out how each other's names got on our profiles. We are thinking they have a program that some where along the lines is screwed up and putting info on our profiles. Yes, both of us when we spoke to different CM's voiced our concerns. Until everyone truly starts complaining, I don't think anything will be done.

This is the freakiest thread I've ever read! How on earth are they connecting the names together? People are in different states with different last names... I just don't see how it could possibly be done without Disney using some kind of software that is a huge violation of personal privacy!

This scares the **** out of me!!!! How in the world do you get your profile changed? I would not like to have other people knowing when I am away from home or any of the other personal information that is on those papers! Where do we write to get this mess straightened out so that this cannot happen anymore!!!!

Yes tell me about it! I would contact central reservations right now at (800) 828-0228 and ask about your profiles under your phone number (that's the only thing they seem to have correct and one of the CM's even laughed about it). Tell them if there is anyone on your list that does not belong in your household then to take them off immediately and you want written confirmation to YOUR home address that it is taken care of. I am definitely thinking that they have some kind of privacy thing going on, that is why my sister was miffed. She never even looked at the name on the envelope, just opened it and started reading then saw my name and information and was like, what the??? Like I said, I will absolutely let you guys know what they tell me, but I still don't believe I'll get the truth because the CM at guest services first off lied to me about the copy and paste thing, then she got really vague about who was on the list after I got upset about my step sister being on my profile. Something is so creepy about all this!

We used to get those postcards with special discount codes and a pin number on it, but we moved to a different house in the same town. Now, we get the postcard specials, but with my mother's name on them! She has never lived with us, and has my maiden name. She has traveled to WDW lots of times with us, though. I haven't tried to use one of the pins yet, but I'm worried that if I try to, they won't let me have the discount. I emailed them about it, and they claimed that I had to make sure my online profile was updated. They didn't admit that they even sent out special codes. More recently, I have been getting visa offers for her at my house. She got one at her house for my godmother, who has also traveled with her! I wonder what is going on? Maybe I should call and check on my profiles too!

Thanks for the idea. I just got off the phone with Bernadeen at that number. She went through my profile and found just the names of the 3 granddaughters that I have traveled with for the past 5 years. She told me that if anyone has gone to the website (WDW.go) and filled out a trip form, or if they had filled out a catologue order then the name is in the system! I am not too sure I like that!
