Has this happened to any other solos at WDW?

I always get the "can you take our picture?" question. If only they knew that I am the biggest camera klutz in the world. I always hand the camera to DH and he does the honors.

I cannot remember anyone asking us for specific advice, but we tend to strike up conversations with people in line and end up extolling the many virtues of WDW and making suggestions. The best thing is when you explain fastpass to people who don't have a clue. So many people think it's a special perk that costs extra!

You would think you just told them the secret to winning the lottery.

I've gone solo before and I've been asked directions (but never a direct "do you work here?") and I've been asked to take pictures (didn't bother me to do so).

However, I've also gone with my kids. ALONE with my kids (ie: they were right with me) but we had on the nametags as someone else mentioned. On that trip I was asked several times at several parks "did I work there". Yeah, they let me bring my 3 kids with me to work at WDW don'tcha know? LOL I'd just kinda laugh (couldn't help it!) and say no, but maybe I can help you? LOL Some said "oh well you have the nametag...so I thought..." LOL I'd have to explain how you can buy them and it's not an official nametag.

Then the last time with the entire family, no nametags and definitely not dressed anywhere NEAR like an employee- I had people asking me directions. No one actually asked if I worked there though. ONE of the people that asked me directions actually said "excuse me- I notice you aren't looking at a park map- I assume this means you know the park well, could you tell me where.. " LOL I thought that was hilarious. If you walk around without a map- you may be asked directions. Some people are apparently smart enough to realize if you are looking at a map you probably can't give directions to anyone and if you are cruising the park without a map you "probably" know where everything is. LOL
