We have visited and stayed at the Disney resorts many times over the years, but the last two times we have been given a handicapped room even though we are not handicapped and did not request it. Then we are told there is nothing they can do because they are sold out and they can't move us. It's been very disappointing and I don't know why it keeps happening and no one seems to be able to give us an answer...

This time at old key west resort when I called the front desk to complain, they said they weren't aware that the room we were I was handicapped...how does that happen??

We've had it happen several times.

First time at POP. Requested a king room & were delighted to get it until we found out it was a handicap room. I hate those showers. We switched back to a regular room.

Last year at CSR we paid for a king room. They put us in a handicap room. As soon as we got to the room & found it was handicapped we called & asked to be moved to a regular room like we had booked. It took awhile but they moved us.

I jate the showers also....Unfortunately they can't move us....If we had known we would have booked another resort. It just doesn't seem right that they can do that and say oh well..sorry it's all we have. If I wanted or needed a handicapped room, Imwould have booked one...Thanks for listening....Imjust needed to vent...:goodvibes
