Has the weather ever been too cold to swim at Castaway Cay?

3 of my 5 cruises have been in "colder" months.

3/04- waaaaay to cold to even dip our toes in! We sat on chairs in the sun and snoozed/ relaxed
1/06- cool, but the sun made sitting near the water quite pleasant
1/07- beautiful and warm and we spent a lot of time in the water

We are taking another cruise this January and hoping for lovely weather again! The only time we were unable to dock at CC was during a double dip cruise in September (so we still got one CC day)!

We have been twice in December, while the weather was lovely for a beach day the water was freezing cold. In fact too cold to even swim to Pelican Plunge! Just been there last month and what a difference, the water temp was amazing, almost luke warm!

I went in November last year, the week before Thanksgiving. The water was too cold to comfortably enjoy. It was also rather overcast that day, not sure if the sun would have made a difference. I've been in February too, I don't remember if I attempted the water that time. Don't get me wrong - the air temp was great and a day on CC is always heavenly, but it definitely can get too cool to swim.

Don't be nervous, we are taking our first cruise as well on 12/17/15. The way I figure it, even if the water is too cold. Just sit back, relax in your chair, & enjoy the view with a drink in your hand. I am not at work, I am not at home doing chores....... Just relax.......

Yes, I would like to swim also, but either way, I will be relaxing !!!! Can't wait !!!

We have the snorkling excursion booked! :guilty:
