Has the water in the resort pools always been warm in the Summer?

This caught me off guard, but every single resort pool we swam in was warm. But Typhoon Lagoon was not? My husband told me when we were at SAB the very first time the pool water was warm, but I don't recall. I am guessing it is just the sun, but then we got in at Typhoon Lagoon and it was so cool and refreshing. What am I missing here?

It can vary due to the ambient temperature, number of sunny days vs overcast days for example. Larger bodies of water will be cooler so that explains why Typhoon Lagoon is cooler than SAB for example.

I noticed that both Storm Along Bay and the BC quiet pool were both warmer than I’ve ever found them before when we were there last week. We were at the BC last year during the 4th of July week and the pools were not as warm as they were last week. I have felt cool water coming out of the pool jets in the past but not this time.

In a word, yes. I find Stormalong Bay at YC/BC to be not as warm, maybe because they have so much water. The pool at AK/Jambo House was so warm the last time we were there in the summer that my kids didn't even want to go in it.

I'm pretty sure the water is never cooled, so I don't think it would be cost cutting. (Although I do see it in many other places!)
