This link is for the Yak & Yeti restaurant not the Tusker house......they are two different restaurants. The Tusker House is the counter service which is being converted to a full service buffet and the Yak & Yeti is the new sit down table service restaurant being operated by Landry's restaurant group (aka Rainforest Cafe).

Anyone have any idea of what the menu will be like? It looks like the old menu is up on the menu page. Is it going to be the same?

I just called to make an ADR for our AK day, and was thinking Yak & Yeti, but when I said I wanted table service, the CM said I wanted Tusker House. I got really confused, and made an ADR anyway. Now I just need to know if I should keep it.

Can someone clarify something for me about AK hours and dining. AK is often only open till 5pm...so what kind of hours are there for eating dinner at either the new Tusker House buffet or Yak and Yeti??? Obviously rides will be closed but those restaurants are located deep in the park...so if you eat there you can wander the park...?????????

A lot of folks (even Disney Dining CMs) are confusing Tusker House and Yak & Yeti.

Just for info, Yak & Yeti isn't taking ADRs yet, just walkups, so if you are calling for a TS ADR at AK you will probably get Tusker House.

Tusker House is buffet. Yak & Yeti is table service, looks like their menu is primarily Chinese.

Jumping on board...I have been wondering the same thing.

As far as I know, the rules at AK are the same as at the other three parks. Restaurants inside the parks take ADRs and walkups up to a certain time before the official park closing (I think it's 30 minutes). It takes an hour to clear the park out after closing, anyway, so if you're not done in the restaurant by closing, you still have time.

When you leave the restaurant, you will simply be another Guest that the CMs will steer gently toward the park entrance, just like those who sit down and take a nap right at park closing to avoid the crowds at the parking lot trams and park exits.
