Has the mass populus figured out FP yet?

I was amazed during our trip to WDW last year by the number of people who are not effectively utilizing the FP benefit. I wouldn't do the parks without them!
Either people just don't get it or, as my brother said on his recent trip, "it's an over-rated feature." I couldn't disagree with him more.

What's your sense? Has FP finally caught on with EVERYONE, or is it primarily still the Disney veterans cashing in?

I think people are afraid of the technology. How else do you explain people waiting in line for over an hour when my sister & I walked on to Splash Mountain using FastPass? I love FastPass!

Many do use it, at least much much more than when it was first started. I remember when it was first started hardly anyone tried it. It took awhile to catch on. Still many dont, but many more do than did. But I think you are correct in that the majority still do not.

It amazes me how people will stand on lines that are sometimes an hour or more. I agree that more people are using Fast Passes today than in the past, but most still do not understand it. I think a lot of people believe that it's some kind of perk for staying on site and don't realize that everyone with a park admission can use FP. Hey, it's better for the rest of us if not too many people understand the FP system!

If people do use FP they really don't look at it except for the time they are to return. Most don't know that you can get a FP every two hours (I think) even if it is before your return time.

Wouldn't do the parks w/o fast pass

Are you sure they are not using Fast Pass? Perhaps most of them have recently fetched Fast Passes to a different ride and are using the intervening time to ride "something else".

Or maybe they want to do this ride as fast as possible and then go to some other area in the park and not have to come back.

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of corns on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him...a super-callused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Last summer my DH kept saying I wonder why more people don't use FP? I finally told him to stop saying that out loud or everyone would be using it and we wouldn't be able to get so many!

I too am glad that more people don't bother to use them :)

DH and I can never figure it out - why would people want to wait in looong lines. What's not to get? The first time we went after they had FP we saw the machines, saw the separate lines, saw people walking on the rides and figured it all out ourselves in about 2 minutes. Guess we're a bit more resourseful than the majority of WDW goers! :)

My favorite thing about using FP is when you are walking in the FP lane, past all those hot, sweaty people who have been standing there for an hour and they say "hey, why are they walking to the front of the line" (you can tell they are annoyed about it too - as if we're in the wrong for cutting the line) hehehehehe :rotfl:

:hyper: HAHA that is so funny, I love it!

Hopefully everyone in August - except my family of course - will not know about Fast Pass. When I get really really rich I'm gonna rent MK for a night. Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?:D

Well - people ARE definetly using them. Just returned and used them just fine. By mid-afternoon, several rides were "sold out" of fastpasses - so somebody must be using them.
