has the dust settled?

Okay, now that a little of the dust has settled over the changes for the kids prices I am wondering if we have a definitive answer. Will they or will they not honor the PS's made prior to July 1 ? I know they cannot call each guest that has made the reservations and I find it hard to believe that they would just "suprise" you with an additional $$$$$ at the time you pay for your meal.
People plan. They budget. If I were not on this board I would have no idea of this change and would be expecting what I booked. Just wondering. 'Cause I am not sure what Iam going to do if I have to pay adult price for all of these.

I have heard several times that you will have to pay adult prices for your kids 10 & over starting July 1st reguardless of when you made the AR .. the only exceptions to the rules is if its a prepaid show like HDDR or Aloha.. I would re-budget for the higher cost (as I have) and then you can be surprised IF they say its still the kids price .. Hope this helps Michelle

I am just guessing here...not always the best way to get an answer, :rotfl2: .

But I called TODAY and made ADR for an FDP, with cc to hold my ressie (not prepaid, though) for August. I asked the CRO rep how much each meal would be,because I had heard about the coming pricing changes, and she quoted me prices, one person at a time. She quoted me CHILD price for dd11. So IF they are going to charge the higher price once we get there, they might have a lot of irate customers. ESPECIALLY those of us who specifically re-checked and gave cc #s to reserve. If I got there and had to pay, suddenly, much more than I had budgeted yet would have my cc charged the penalty if I chose to leave, I would be more than a little angry (if I were not already on this board and informed.) I bet it will happen, with many people who had no way of knowing. And for some places, it is QUITE a price jump. I'd feel bad if my friend were going in August with us...she has 11 yr old triplets. WHAT A PRICE JUMP SURPRISE THAT WOULD BE!!

MY guess unless you have prepaid for something they will charge the price at the time you have your meal. It would be way too hard for them to track who made PS (or whatever they are these days) when.

OK it is things like this that really aggravate me. I know Disney is out to make money and they have every right to do that - they are a business. However, this poster specifically mentioned that she was concerned about the pricing changes, and the CM STILL quoted child pricing on an ADR for AUGUST?!?!?!??! :earseek: :sad2: The inconsistency is what makes me upset. If they're going to raise the prices on such short notice but not train their CMs properly, why is it the customer's fault???? I mean, seriously, does anyone else see that this is blatantly WRONG????? I must be PMSing because I am a bit touchy today  :confused3 :rotfl:

Have you ever known Disney to roll out any new plan - or make any significant changes - that were NOT fraught with inconsistencies??

It's the nature of the beast.. The end result of inadequate training of their CM's, among other things... Disney just can't seem to "get it together".. Frustrating for sure.. :sad2:

You just have to "wing it" and hope for the best, I guess..

:flower: I just got off the phone (10 minutes ago!) and the CM I spoke with assured me that Disney will honor the price quoted at the time of the ADR. She said as long as I called prior to July 1st we would be all set. I hope she's correct.

OT: If you bought a child pass in advance for your child when he was 9 and when you finally arrived at WDW he was 10 or older, he may not use that totally unused pass and he may not exchange it at no cost for an adult pass.

If a CM (or airport ticket agent or telephone company rep. or cable TV company rep, etc.) quotes you something you think may be incorrect or even something you don't like, feel free to call back an hour later and see if someone else gives you a different opinion.
