I just booked us a breakfast at Akershus for the princess storybook breakfast and they made us leave a credit card. Is this new, I don't remember doing this last year for chef mickey, and I have not been able to find anything on this in my guides. It's no big deal I just thought it was weird.

I'm not sure what determines which one needs a CC #, but I booked two character meals (Tusker and Crystal Palace) this morning and neither of those required a CC. However, I was asked for a CC# for my CA Grill ADR and was told there was a 24 hour cancellation charge of$20 per person (which for my party of 7 would be insane!).

meals that require a credit card. CRT is pay in advance unless on the DDP and then they still take a card number. A number of others have a credit card hold and tehre is a penalty if you don't show up.

Last year Askerhaus was upgraded in a way. They added the photo package like CRT and raised the price. Around, that time, I believe, they started taking cc numbers as guarantees. I assume they told you there wwas a 48 hour cancellation policy and failure to cancel in that time would result in something like a ten dollar charge per person.

Not all meals are like that - yet.

There is a cancellation window, but they don't charge you until the meal. And I assumed it has to do with the Picture being included. Thanks for the quick responses.
