Has the capacity for the Illuminations cruise changed?

The title pretty much says it all. Got up today, 90 days out from 10/02, called for our party of 12, that includes 3 children 7,5,and3, started calling at 6:55, connected at 6:59 got a CM that told me the "larger" boats did not sail from the Yacht club dock.

He asked if I wanted to see wishes instead. Seems they are in the process of introducing 25' boats into their fleet, but none of those do the illuminations cruise. He said that the capacity of the boats for illuminations was 10 including children. That won't work for me.

So, did I get a misinformed CM, or am I not going to be able to book an illuminations cruise?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

The pontoon boat we had for Illuminations had room for 10. We had it at capacity.

My vote is a uninformed CM. We have had 12 on it at least twice which included a few kids( I always thought it was 10 adults but you could go to 12 if it was kids)....I would book for 10 and then call the marina at the YC/BC and ask if you can add 2 small kids..

I've booked 5 times now (with one being in Aug. ) and we've always had 12 (with atleast 2 being kids). I always book for 10 because I always share with other disfamilies, and then when I get others to join our boat, I call back and add them to the ressies. We've never had a problem. They are very strict on the 12. We asked if we could add an infant this past April and was told that the boats could only carry 10 adults/2 children plus the Capt.

Book it, then modify it :wizard:

Now I booked on just under a month ago and was told 10, 12 if it included children.

I can confirm this -- I was told once the capacity was 10, but 3 other times that is it 10 *adults* but you can add up to 2 more children to that for a total of 12.

Thanks for the responses. Now that I am awake and thinking clearly...well clearly for me anyway, I realize that we have 11, not 12.

There is myself, my wife, her sister, our brother-in-law, their three kids, her mother and father, and my mother and father.

I will definitely try to make the reservation for 10 and then add the smallest child, none of the children are large.

Thanks again.

I have one booked with 12 (6 adults and 6 kids), but when the CM read back the confirmation he said 7 adults, 4 kids and 1 infant. The ages of the 6 "kids": 13, 10, 9, 6, 3, 2. The 13yo is considered an adult and the 2yo is considered an infant. It sounds like the CM may have been uniformed, but it could also be the ages of your "kids" since the boats are limited to 10 adults.
