Has TGM ever not worked for you?

This is asked in the sincerest way possible - I have gotten my $20 worth if I never set foot in the park. I have enjoyed the website and all of the info that comes with it. However, I have COMPLETELY based my March 25-31 trip on his recommendations and I hear nothing but good things from satisfied customers - are there any failures out there? I am not asking for TGM bashers - just sincere results. We've never been during a busy season and I am placing my faith in his methods!

I used TGM for our trip that was between Christmas and New Years, another busy holiday season. It totally worked for us. This was the third time I had used it and we had also never been during a busy time of year. It worked and I renewed (for the third time) for our upcoming trip. Needless to say, I dig my TGM! If you follow his advice you will not be disappointed. I mean there may be variables that come up and I would log in again as close as possible to your departure date because Disney loves to change their hours and schedules and that can really change your (and TGM's) game plan. But to answer your question, I think you will be happy and find it really works! I don't think he would offer a money back guarantee if he didn't have a lot of faith in his product.

I just signed up and the website is very "busy" -- still trying to figure it out! Have no clue where my itinerary is -- will certainly have fun figuring it out though! I am keeping close contact on you all so perhaps you can offer some words of wisdom in how this all works! :thumbsup2

I used TGM last August. On our first day at WDW, when I saw the massive crowd waiting at the gates before opening, I was really worried that we would have long waits ahead. Thankfully, I was wrong. I was really pleased with how well it worked. I've signed up again for our upcoming August trip. Lets hope it works again because this time we're going a week earlier and it will be more crowded. :thumbsup2

I found it very useful the first time, i signed up again before my trip tommorrow and a lot of it is repetive. Once you figure out the philosophy you can kind of do it yourself. It's good for least crowded parks and refurbishmnet schedules. you can fugure out the least crowded days once you find out all the emh's. It is a good tool for first timers.

I have used TGM's best days advice for all 3 of our trips which have all been in the summer...when it is hot and crowded! We have either gone to his first or second choice parks (when he wrote them that way) or the ones that get the green light. so far, I have no complaints! His advice has really helped us to have great trips and to avoid long lines. Or at least when we did have a really long wait for something it was because I knew we were going against his advice.

There has only been one thing on his site that I didn't agree with based on my own experiences...can't post what as it falls into that "subscribers only" category.

Do you recommend TGM for those going during slower attendance times? For example those who go to Disney nowhere near the holidays or in the summer.

O.K., I have been cruising around TGM's website (signed up yesterday) and am still just a tad confused. Does he actually offer an itinerary for each day, such as which rides to go on and in which order?

Such as, I plan on being at MK on a certain day. Does he detail it out on which rides/attractions to go on in order? Thanks for any and all insight. Still learning! :cool1:

Yes there are touring plans for each park. There are different ones for active riders and young children. If you'll post over on the TGM boards, I can give you the links.

Debbie, go to the "Forums" on Tour Guide Mike's site and ask your question. It's hard to answer it here without divulging "secret" information. There are plenty of folks at TGM who will be very happy to help you navigate the site and find what you are looking for! :thumbsup2 So far I have been VERY happy with TGM. I have been to Disney over 30 times (always slow times) but my next trip is going to be on Easter week! :scared: I know we will be fine using TGM's plan though!!! I can't wait! :goodvibes

When you're waiting at the resort bus stop in the morning and you see masses of people going to one park (TGM's "red light" park for that day), then you get on a bus to another park and it's practically empty, and this happens every day of your trip, you've just gotten your money's worth.

When you spend 10 minutes (usually less) waiting for a popular ride, you've gotten your money's worth.

When, at the end of your trip, you are not completely exhausted, you've gotten your money's worth.

Yes. If you haven't found the info yet, ask for some help on the TGM forums and someone will point you in the right direction.

ETA: Oops! Someone already answered this.

I have used TGM during the busy spring break and in August. His best days were bang on for me. :thumbsup2

My sister in law used Tourguide Mike when they went over Easter. I made her purchase it, and then I planned her entire trip for her-- (help I have a Disney problem  ), and she said it worked like a dream.

Go with tourguide mikes best days, I dont think you will be disappointed!!

Never used TGM but I was thinking about it for our next trip... love the responses... so I will continue lurking ;) :lmao:

We use Mike's "best day's" and only go to the park that is most recommended. Having said that.... I don't really use his "plans" as I find that for my family / touring style, it just doesn't work. For instance (and this isn't exactly top secret info) getting to the parks before they open isn't really an option for us. We let the kids sleep as late as they can (usually around 8:00) and then get up and get out usually by 9:00. We have much happier kids this way- there's more, but you get the point....

For those looking for the touring plans...log in...click on the Vacation Articles tab at the top, far right...in the column down the left hand side of the page you'll see Planning Step 6, Park Touring...there you will find all the touring plans.

Log onto to TGMike and then click the small box on top that says "AVP Forums". And voila, there you are!
