Just wondering if there's ever been forgotten stockings at your house. I can see trying to stay awake until the kids are asleep and falling asleep yourself on the couch. Or maybe too much eggnog... ;)

Ever happened? Or almost happened?

Never! Although according to my kids, I killed off Santa, the Easter Bunny AND the Tooth Fairly. :rolleyes1 They tend to hold a grudge.

It almost happened at our house one year. Turns out that Santa just got confused and put them on their closet doors. Since they tore down the stairs so fast it was easy, once I figured out Santa's mistake, to go upstairs and quietly put them there. (I forgot my slippers upstairs..... It took a LONG time to find my slippers.)

Actually this is the second year in a row I haven't put them up. I ordered new ones for xmas 95 with all of our names embroiders. I haven't been able to find them since.

My signature cat and her brother are getting into the cat treats that Santa left on the floor under the stockings. She already took off with one toy. :rotfl: And Magic, one of our dogs, is salivating over the dog treats. Maybe Santa should have forgotten to bring them treats. ;)

need_a_Disney_fix, so you're the one who did the evil deed!

LisaNJ25, I hope you find the stockings.

Well, I've never forgotten to fill any but I can clearly remember one Christmas when I was about 7. I had a pretty severe asthma attack on Christmas Eve. My parents took me to the hospital for a breathing treatment. We got home early in the morning and all I remember was seeing those empty stockings still hanging there. I had expected Santa to come while I was at the hospital. I started crying and my parents had to tell me the truth in order to calm me down.

::yes:: Once we were away for Christmas and Santa forgot to pack stockings.. so when we returned home from our Vacation, Santa had left them there with a few of the Bigger *unpackable*:rolleyes1 Presents..

Gosh no!

Our Tooth Fairy is a bit dingy, though. Sometimes she takes the tooth, sometimes not. Sometimes she leaves a crisp $1, sometimes a Disney $1, and once she had to scrounge up some loose change. And she doesn't always leave it in the same place. Usually it's on DS7's bedside table, but one time he had to look real hard to find it; it had somehow gotten inside his pillowcase!

We must have the same tooth fairy!

Santa has never forgotten to fill Stockings here.:santa:

Santa has never forgotten in our house, but he did forget once when I was a kid. I woke up and Santa had not come. I hear my grandmother say "Oh S***! Santa forgot to come." Then she looks at me and says, go back to bed!

That was the year Santa gave me a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese & a (used) wooden spoon!

I have never forgotten however I have had nightmares that its Christmas eve and I forgot to buy stuffers and all the stores are closed! Now the kids are older and its still stressful but I don't have to be quiet about it! I had, including the cats...10 stockings to fill this year!!

Well... Not totally, but last night I realized that I only had two stocking stuffers for DS, plus some gift cards. So instead of wrapping one of his video games I stuffed it in his stocking. It actually will work out well, because it's the one thing he's asked for repeatedly, and he always goes to his stocking last.

DH forgot to get stocking stuffers for me about five years ago. My stocking has been over flowing ever since. :thumbsup2

This year I bought candy bars for stocking stuffer when Kroger had them on sale. Only problem was DH and I started a diet in October so I stopped keeping candy in the house. When I was really really desperate for candy, I would remember the stocking candy. DH found the stash and he would sneak a couple. Next thing I knew, I was down to 2 candy bars! I made a last minute dash and stocked up on things we didn't like so the kids would at least have a little candy this year!

Anyone interested in some nerds, bottle caps, pixie sticks or pop rocks???

We have a pathetic tooth fairy. :sad2: She's been known to forget for 2-3 nights and has to pay quite a bit of interest. :rolleyes1
