Has Nine Dragons gotten better?

We want to try some different places. We are going to have 10 ts dinners and I get tired of meat/potatoes every night. We went to Nine Dragons years back and don't remember it being bad but I always hesitate making adr's because it gets bad reviews. We will not be paying out of pocket since we have free dining, so I won't feel like, I overpaid. I have 2 Via Napoli adr's and thinking of cancelling one for Nine Dragons, so we can have some Chinese food during our vacation.

I was not a fan the last time I went there. I think there are better options in Epcot, but if you really want Chinese food make a reservation. I tend to think both China and Japan have subpar food compared to what I can get at home.

I thought I read of a recent review on a popular sight for Nine Dragons. Anyone know where that was?

Thank you, loved watching it. We are definitely going to go.

We made a last-minute reservation on our trip in December. The food was good. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our unhappy 4 year old. We had a nice window table, which probably would have given lovely views of the lake if it wasn't dark and rainy.

I think Nine Dragons is quite tasty. It's not particularly unique, so I might not go there on a once-a-decade Disney trip, but as someone who goes to Epcot a lot, i enjoy Nine Dragons.

Recent reviews by the Podcast team on the Dis and Josh at Easywdw indicate the restaurant is much improved and worth a visit. It's usually pretty empty based on reports. We will probably go there in November if we don't have an ADR.

Nine Dragons is good, but, to me, it just tasted like generic Chinese food you could get at any restaurant around where you live. Nothing special. Not bad, but not not out of this world.

According to Josh on easywdw.com, they've added a few unusual things that I know we can't get at our local Chinese. It's definitely worth a look at the newer menu.

We have always enjoyed our meals there. I think we have eaten there 4 times over the last 6 years.

We don't eat out unless we're on vacation so I don't find myself comparing anything I eat at WDW to food I can get locally. It's either good or it isn't.

I've also read the recent reviews from Josh and WDW News Today on Twitter. The prices are not much more than counter service, so we have a lunch reservation made for our next trip to try it out for the first time.

I ate there in September for the first time and enjoyed it. I also like that you don't need a reservation, we walked up with a party of 7 and were seated in minutes. I'm probably going to go back this September.

Same for us...it was just ok. We also asked to move to a different table and they were not so nice about.

From recent reviews it seems to be a good value if sharing and paying out of pocket. If on the dining plan, it may not be.
