We will arrive at MCO around 5:20 on Dec 13th and we have an 7:50 ADR at Ohana?? :confused3

Don't you think we will make it too OKW to check in and the to the Poly by 7:50????

It is kind of a tradition!! We have to eat at Ohana on our first night!!! :goodvibes

It is a Wednesday afternoon and so I am hoping things won't be too hectic around the airport or resort?? Touringplans have crowd levels listed as a 4.

Thanks, :cloud9:

I think it's going to be very tight. The normal times we are seeing here, for DME, from deplaning to resort checkin, is about 70 minutes. It could well be longer than that. If you land at 5:20, using the above timing, you would be at OKW at about, checking in, by about 6:40ish. That gives you an hour to get to your room, freshen up and then back to the bus to head to MK, and then catch either the monorail or the ferry to the Polynesian. You could cut some time off by calling a cab. That's what I would do in your case.

It should work. ADRs aren't true reservations. You can be a little late and the restaurant will seat you.

If your flight arrives on time, you have 2 hours and 30 minutes to:
  • Go from the arrival gate to Magical Express, where there will be a check-in line and a line to wait for the motorcoach to OKW.
  • Wait for the motorcoach to be dispatched.
  • Ride to OKW, stopping at 0 to 3 other resorts on the way. (It's been 0 stops both times that I took DME to OKW.)
  • Check in at OKW.
  • Take your carry-ons to your room (which can take a while because OKW is so spread out).
  • Take a WDW bus to MK.
  • Take the Monorail or a boat to the Polynesian.
  • Go to Ohana and check in for your ADR.
You'll be rushed. I think the answer is to stay calm and do your best to get to Ohana.

The variables, of course, are out of your control. You can't control when your flight actually arrives, when your DME motorcoach is actually dispatched, how many stops you actually make, how long you actually wait for the WDW bus to MK and the transportation to the Polynesian, and how long the lines are to check-in for DME and OKW. (Even when the DME line looks long, it usually moves quickly.)

Good luck, and enjoy your vacation.

I just called Disney Dining and they told me too keep the reservation...She said you can be 15 minutes late and they will still seat you. She said if you have too just drop your bags and check in when you get back from dinner.

I know we will be starving when we get there... :goodvibes We will have not eaten anything since noon that day.

Memorial day weekend we arrived around 11:15 and was checked into the Boardwalk villas before 1pm and it was a busy day for ME...

I think I will take my chances and stay calm as the other posted stated...

Thanks for all the great info....
