Has it ever rained when you've done MNSSHP?

Last time we went to MNSSHP it was 2006, we purchased our event ticket for the 30th Oct on 22nd Oct from guest services via our first park. I did this as I wanted to check the weather once I had arrived in FLo.

This year, thinking I may do the same (we have a choice of 3 nights) ......getting a bit of feedback that it's much busier now since 2006 and less dates available.

So.....do I purchase a ticket and risk the weather or risk it being sold out? has anybody been when it's rained?

i would actually be gutted if it rained and spoilt our outfits but would be more gutted if couldn't get a ticket :confused3

It rained a little on our 2nd MNSSHP last year (oct 22nd) but very lightly

We were in the Gaston line, and the CMs advised that the M&G would move to a location inside the tavern if it started to rain more heavily. Luckily it stopped a couple of minutes after it started.

Ironically my biggest "fear" (for a halloween party, lol) is that it's too hot.
Too uncomfortable in the outfits, and most important, the risk of having the chocolate treats melt and make a mess :p

now, if you're not going on the last week of october, and you have 3 dates to choose from, then you're not taking a big chance by waiting until the last minute
If all of your dates are on or after the 24th of october, then I would book and take a chance with the possibility of rain rather than risking sold out nights.
Before that, I wouldn't sweat it.

It tipped it down for MMVCP when we went last year. It did dry out enough for the parade to run, but it put a damper on it the whole evening:rotfl2: That said, we did everything we had planned, and everything bar a couple of stage shows went ahead as planned. It did make for a quieter park, but longer lines on 'indoor attractions'.

It rained for us at MVMCP a few years ago and everything just carried on as normal

tbh..at that time of year its very low chance of rain so you would be unlucky. We normally go to WDW the first 3 weeks of November and I can honestly say its very rare that we've had rain. When it has its just been very light. You can plan almost everything for your holiday but not the weather so just book and don't worry about it. What will be will be.:)

Its never rained at the MNSSHP's I've been too however the MVMCP we did at the beginning of November last year was chilly!

We wanted to be properly wrapped up for Christmas :santa:

We've had rain at mnsshp and both parades were cancelled. We still had a great time and the last hour was great as everyone else had given up and gone home. A shame but still fun.

Yeah we are there last week in october.......hhhhmmm what to decide, will keep an eye on when 31st is sold out as that's the first to go. I remember booking discovery cove in 2006 for 3rd nov and being nervous about it being cold/raining but we were lucky and had one of the hottest day on record for november!

Thanks for your advise all - might just book it and pack a big umbrella :goodvibes

When we went in Oct 2010 it chucked it down all day so we went to guest services and they moved our ticket to another night with no problems.

Thanks for the tip, might book the 28th and have 30th as a backup plan :thumbsup2

When I went to MNSSHP in 2012 there was a huge storm one night and lots of rain, resulted in lots of things being cancelled or delayed. They offered to either give us party tickets for another night, a one day MK ticket or a refund.
