Well, My Uncle is going to WDW at the same time as we are in Nov.(so excited about that, he lives on the other side of the country and we barely see him-he is in British Columbia, we are in Ontario) We are staying on site and he has decided to book the Rodeway Inn, closest to WDW.
Has anyone stayed there recently? He isn't expecting all the bells and whistles but if someone could reassure me that it is a nice (clean, friendly) hotel, even at only 26.85/night I surely would appreciate it.
He has been to WDW area before and normally stays off site- he is a solo traveller and doesn't mind if the furniture is older or if the room is small. It just needs to be clean and friendly.
Any opinions would be welcome.
Thanks so much.

Bump..
Has anyone stayed here recently? How about not so recently?

If this is the Rodeway Inn on International Drive near Wet n Wild (and I can't think of any others!), it checks out as a reliable if basic property in the heart of I-Drive, therefore a little noisy (and this stretch of the road gets very congested). On Trip Advisor, ratings vary from 2 to 5-stars, with several people complaining about 'musty' rooms and even the glowing reviews insisting it is a good but 'basic' hotel. It sounds a little like they have some rooms in need of renovation and, if you get stuck with one of these, it might be a problem. Otherwise, it is what you would expect of a hotel that currently books in the $40-$50 a night category. Nothing more, nothing less.

If this is the Rodeway Inn on I-192 that's advertised on these boards, then I've been there. The hotel is pretty decent and nice for the price. The rooms were small, but clean.

Thank you for your opinions. I just spoke with him and it seems that he is getting a great deal. King bed, Poolside, microwave, refrigerator...not bad. He also said he can always bunk with me at the ASmo... Didn't think that was funny.
Anyway, thanks for the reassurance.

Also keep in mind that if it's just him alone, if he checks the room prior to unpacking and doesn't like it there will be quite a few other low-cost motels in that same general area offering "specials" on single rooms and he could just move on to the next place..;)
