I heard it reopened this week - please confirm if so. If open - any idea how long it will be open, we arrive August 13th.

Yes, it is open according to the wait times site. Mid August seems right on the borderline for how long it will remain open. If it's open your first day at Universal, do it that day unless you've confirmed it'll be open longer.
