Has Disney ever relased free dining less than 40 before arrival?

We are due to arrive October 11-16. I am still hoping for free dining. The only discount that was released for our resort for our dates was 5% off room only.
Is there hope based on history?

There is currently free dining Oct 19 through Nov 1. I doubt that they will add anything before that.

It doesn't look good for your dates as they are not included in the current free dining offer that has to be booked by 9/29:

Holiday weeks are typically excluded from the promotions. It's Columbus Day the Monday of that week.

What about the 20% - 30% off room rates, I haven't checked the dates but I know there is quit a few dates that my be covered in your discount. I think it would be cheaper to do this and buy tickets at undercover tourist then get a package from Disney.

They don't need to offer anything. This week is sold out at some resorts and the parks are going to be packed.

We have been twice during this week and haven't ever received free dining during this time. It is our school systems fall break and attendance has picked up during this time. I did price out a room only and there were discounted rooms.

Thank you all for your responses! We have stayed over these dates the last 5 years at Pop and dining was free, so I'm not sure why the moratorium on offers this year. Fall break fell at this time the last 5 years as well.
I have to look into the resort-only discount and getting tix from mouse savers. Thanks for that suggestion! We SO want to do the dining, but may just pay out of pocket. I have been saving my mileage checks for the last year to pay for everything, and that may be the way to be able I do it. Again, thank you. (LOVE the cheese plate at Artist Point!)
