Has Disney ever given more AP rate discounts to dates that were already offered?

Hi there, Hope my subject line made sense. I missed out on the AP rates for 1/1/04 - 2/11/04. My computer was down for a month and I just found out about them. Unfortunately there are no more for the dates we already have. We are limited by our airline tickets. So, has Disney ever offered AP or any other discounts for dates they already released? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

My experience is that there often are additional rooms available with AP rates. I generally book something that we can live with and keep calling every couple of days. I've booked AP rates at resorts that I previously could get nothing as late as three days before arrival. Don't give up.

i couldn't get the full week at the pop century on the ap rate at first but they gave me my first day on a AAA rate, the next 3 days ap, then the next 2 days on an ap so essentially we we had 3 reservations for 1 hotel, 2 of which had the ap rate 1 had the AAA rate. I kept calling back. About 2 weeks ago I was able to turn the 2 ap's into 1 reservation but still couldn't change the AAA into ap. Just last week I called and still nothing but then the cm tried the full week as 1 full ap reservation and voila there was ap available for the whole reservation, go figure. Couldn't get that from the day the came out, but last week I finally was under 1 ressie not 3. I'd call back and have them not just try for your whole vacation, but split dates. I'm sure not all ap's are gone. I'm living proof of this.

I was just able to book the YC today for 1/13- 1/18. I had tried when the BCE rates first came out and finally got it today! Keep checking.

I'll second the keep checking advice. It's only 1 night but I just booked Pop Century for Friday, January 16 for the AP rate of $49. There was also availability at ASMovies.

As you are in New Jersey, this is unlikely to be of much help. But, I've found several times rooms available at AP or FL resident rates on the day of (or day prior) to arrival. Even in cases where none were available just a day prior (within the 5 day cancellation rule.) So, I guess that in an effort to fill any vacancy - and not turn away guests - rooms remaining in inventory are opened to state and AP discounts. I'm not sure, just a theory.

I had a similar experience as katrina1122. I had various reservations and rates during our stay a year ago. I called every day to check to see if I could get the rate for the entire stay. Finally I reached a CM who declared that this was ridiculous. She put me on hold, talked to her manager and gave me the rate I wanted for the entire stay.

Keep trying.

Thanks to all of you for your replies. I have been calling every day and so far out of our 9 nights, we have 4 now that are AP rates. On Sunday I got 3 days in a row and this morning they found another day to add on. For the savings it is worth calling every day. Thanks again, I probably would have just given up.
