Has Disney done anything to recognize Robin Williams' death?

Technically, a flag flown at half mast is ONLY to be flown for military when they are KIA

That is not correct. See 4 United States Code § 7(m):

On Memorial Day the flag should be displayed at half-staff until noon only, then raised to the top of the staff. By order of the President, the flag shall be flown at half-staff upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government and the Governor of a State, territory, or possession, as a mark of respect to their memory. In the event of the death of other officials or foreign dignitaries, the flag is to be displayed at half-staff according to Presidential instructions or orders, or in accordance with recognized customs or practices not inconsistent with law. In the event of the death of a present or former official of the government of any State, territory, or possession of the United States or the death of a member of the Armed Forces from any State, territory, or possession who dies while serving on active duty, the Governor of that State, territory, or possession may proclaim that the National flag shall be flown at half-staff, and the same authority is provided to the Mayor of the District of Columbia with respect to present or former officials of the District of Columbia and members of the Armed Forces from the District of Columbia. When the Governor of a State, territory, or possession, or the Mayor of the District of Columbia, issues a proclamation under the preceding sentence that the National flag be flown at half-staff in that State, territory, or possession or in the District of Columbia because of the death of a member of the Armed Forces, the National flag flown at any Federal installation or facility in the area covered by that proclamation shall be flown at half-staff consistent with that proclamation. The flag shall be flown at half-staff 30 days from the death of the President or a former President; 10 days from the day of death of the Vice President, the Chief Justice or a retired Chief Justice of the United States, or the Speaker of the House of Representatives; from the day of death until interment of an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, a Secretary of an executive or military department, a former Vice President, or the Governor of a State, territory, or possession; and on the day of death and the following day for a Member of Congress. The flag shall be flown at half-staff on Peace Officers Memorial Day, unless that day is also Armed Forces Day.

However, it is true that the half-staff honor at Disney for Robin Williams was not in accordance with the Flag Code.

That code only applies to Federal displays.

I'm wondering how the Aladdin show at DCA may have been impacted - I know they throw in a lot of current events adlibs, and of course the Genie steals the show. I'm curious if anything was said at the end of the show (even something simple to acknowledge the loss), for example.

Would it be silly or wrong to leave some flowers or a flubber toy at the door or picture of Professor Brainerd in the imagination pavilion in epcot? My friend was considering for our next trip in a week. We were huge fans of Robin, and will miss him and his ability to make us laugh.

Edit: I was just made aware that the cybrerlator at Disney Quest that had the Genie take you up stairs to the main arcade was discontinued in 2011 for safety issues? I wish they could bring it back sad to find it was discontinued. Any idea what caused these safety concerns?

I was in DL last week and at the end of the Aladdin show I saw (Wed afternoon) after the final bow all the actors left the stage except genie who looked up and gave a nod and salute to the sky as the curtain fell.

Technically, a flag flown at half mast is ONLY to be flown for military when they are KIA - it has been turned into something that isn't done out of honor anymore, just for any old person for any old reason

Yes, I was a little put off (actually pissed) when NJ Gov Christie ordered all flags at half mast for get this....WHITNEY HOUSTON! The original purpose of half mast flags has been lost....

It may be rather silly of me, but I *really* hope the Genie is out with Aladdin and Jasmine in Morocco when I visit. I need a hug.

There is no possible way that Robin Williams could be construed as a martyr. (maybe you have misunderstood the word?)

The attitude that because he committed suicide his body of work, and his life is less worth remembering is truly disgusting.

We would be happy to remember him had he sadly died of cancer, or a car accident, or something, but, to die of mental illness, that's somehow less tragic?

Depression (and other mental disorders) are REAL, and can be fatal.

This is not the fault of the sufferer. To die because you happened to get a mental illness is NO different from dying as a result of a physical illness.

RW made several Disney movies, and I can't see why they wouldn't have dome something to mark his passing.

US Code also mandates the flag at half for congressmen and senators, but I'd rather honor Robin Williams than most of those guys.

I respect that flags at half mast is a high honor, but it was my understanding that this decision was made due to the incredible amount of charity work that WHitney Houston performed specifically in NJ and NYC... from donating proceeds ( $1 million+) to the NYC fire dept/police disaster relief fund following 9-11 ....to giving so much money that a Intensive Care Unit was established and named after her in Newark that supports the only pediatric liver transplantation program in NJ.

When you think of all the people whose lives were saved or helped through her work with St Jude or other charities... I think a flag at half mast is an acceptabletribute.

Robin Williams also performed an amazing amount of charity that touched many people's lives... for example he had a rider in his contract that required the hiring of homeless people to work on his projects.

Amazing talent and generousity was displayed by both WHitney and Robin.
