Most of the time, the CMs have been very friendly on the other end of the phone...but today, a whole different scenario. Understanding, their system is changing, I got bumped to a V&A agent, who was very abrupt. I told him I had mistakenly got sent in his direction, all the while wanting to make a ressie at another restaurant. Instead of just heading me back in the right direction, as Im sure he would have been able too, he told me hang up and call again.

OK, another long distance call. So I call back, and get a very unproffesional lady. I know it is probably difficult to be upbeat all day on the other end of the line, but it seems the magic has been lost. Am I the only one who seems to feel this? Not trying to go on a bash here or cause trouble. I just wonder if Disney is beggining to outsource these jobs as well.

They are outsourcing these jobs, but my impression was that during the core hours they're generally Orlando/Disney agents.

Sorry you ran into some bad apples. What a way to suck the magic out of your day early in the morning.

I have encountered some SUPER nice agents and then some very rude agents. Some are just extremely unhelpful and refuse to even look. Others don't even bother listening to me when I tell them what restaurant I'm looking for. Granted a call center job is definitely not a glamorous job but I guess you get spoiled when you have the few really nice agents helping you out, you want that kind of service all of the time!

I called just before 8pm last night and had great service. We wanted to change a few ADR's for our trip next week. She was very friendly, gave me a few time choices on one, I asked DH across the room which time. He picked one and as soon as she gave me the confimation #, he asked if we could switch it to the later time  She was very nice about it and switched it without any problem :goodvibes

It's just like going to the grocery store. Some cashiers are super perky and some just scan the items and get on to the next customer. I know at my Kroger, there's one lady I avoid sometimes because she is so perky that it takes twice as long to get through the line because she has to talk to everyone. It's just at Disney World, you have no idea who you are going to get. It's the same way anywhere with any business. I think *we* are in such good moods when we call, we expect the person on the other end of the line to react the same way.

Hey thanks for all the replies. It sorta confirms what I had felt, but just wanted to make sure. I will be a bit more careful on what time I call next time.
