The Candy Cane Inn is a nice place to stay. It is not spectacular but it is good. It is an old two story, U shpaed motel with exterior corridors, that was remodeled around 1990 into a pretty place with a slight New Orleans feeling. There are lots of wrought iron railings and instead of curtains all the rooms have Plantation Shutters. The rooms are nicely decorated with higher than the usual motel ( and some hotels)quality linens and furniture. The parking area surrounds the small pool but it is blocked off by foliage and gardens. The free breakfast is served next to the pool in the "breakfast room" and has numerous cereals, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, toast, milks, juices and coffee.
The place is located almost on Disney property and is a 5-7 minute walk to the front gates of the parks but also has its own free shuttle.
It is a bit more expensive than some of the other closer places but has much more atmosphere and a better breakfast.
