used AirTran for flights? Are they any good? How long have they been in business.

We live in Canada, and have found flights leaving from Buffalo for a decent price in Sept.

We fly out of Flint, MI and use AirTran whenever possible. Think we've only had one delayed flight, and that was only delayed by about an hour. Would not hesitate to book with them in the future.

We flew with them last year for the first time - no complaints on flight down, but our return flight was changed from non-stop to connecting while we were at WDW, and I wouldn't have known had I not called to ask another question about our flight times. And then our connecting flight was delayed for three hours with 8 of us waiting at 11 pm at night in Atlanta to go to Buffalo.
We stick with Southwest because they have never changed a non-stop flight to Orlando on us, and if their ticket prices go down on a flight you already have booked, they will change it and credit it back to you with no penalty. (We just changed our $69 return to $34)

We also fly AirTran out of Flint and use them pretty much exclusively. Occasionally there are flight changes and delays, but nothing that amounts to much. I find the FA's to be very friendly and helpful and the planes kept in good condition. They also have a great rewards program so if you fly with them be sure to sign up for it.

I've flown them a few times, haven't had problems. If the price is right, I have no problem flying them again.
