Has anyone with an annual pass used the bday pass AND the annual pass the same day?

I know it seems like a weird question, but my DH's annual pass expires next month. We were thinking to go up today and get the 2fer pass for free for his bday, use it it one park today and then use his annual pass to get into the other park today, holding off on the upgrade until his pass expires and then upgrading it.

Anyone done this?
Thanks!

If you get the Birthday Gift Card you can use it to upgrade a pass. They also now have a payment plan for AP's if that helps you. Remember that the Birthday GC's do not have a expiration so you can hold off on using the card till you need it.

What you are talking about with tickets doesn't sound like it would work, but maybe some one else might know better.

So you'd go up, say "I'd like the so cal 2fer for the birthday admission b/c we live in so cal" (and yes I know that they give those to so cal residents!). Then you'd give them his info, and up would pop his still valid AP.

I'm wondering if right there would be the roadblock.

But if they still gave it to you, I think that by using a ticket to upgrade, you'd lose the discount for renewing.

I think you might want to do the math, to see if going in on the AP and getting the Birthday Fun Card, and using the fun card to renew (assuming you can get the discount when you renew in person) later on would be a better deal for you.

I didn't know they had a payment plan! Its about time. The passes are getting spendy!! But free parking and discounts on the Premium sure are handy.

Its limited to So Cal residents.

I thought it was available to all CA residents. That was my impression. Has this been proven wrong?

Last I heard they stopped allowing Northern CA residents to do the payment plan.
