I heard Disney created this town called Celebration, Fld. The houses are very expensive there per Florida prices. Does anyone have any knowledge of this area? It is another form of Disney ownership. Anyway, just curious.
I have friends that live in celebration. It has a "main street" look to it, but is really just a development with it's own school system, etc. Place owned by both vacationers and year-round residents.
Its actually quite close to disney. We went to the hospital there back in 2002. They were really good to us and my dd (dd was sick). I remember that they had a specific kids exam room and the table loked like a dinosuar and the kids lay down on it. Patined nice and not like a normal sterile hospital room. It was night so we didn't see much of celebration but its suposed to be nice.
For those who are interested, there was an article on Celebration and several other similar planned communities in Florida in this month's Travel + Leisure magazine. Here is a link: http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/paradise-usa
When we go to Disney we always go to Celebration for lunch or dinner, have been doing it for many years. We love to see how it's grown. A pretty place to visit and great restaurants.
Are you an original owner? What is it like there? Anything special? I actually live in a village type place similiar to Celebration. It has a hospital with various places to eat... We have only a 100 houses. I was curious about the lifestyle there. Does Disney control the community?
