Has anyone used Uber to travel between resorts?

We are not renting a car this time and was wondering if anyone has used Uber to get between resorts for dining reservations, in particular between the Y & B to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We used Uber to get from AKV to Universal and back, as well as to get from CR to AKV....great experience.

Yes. On my recent 2 day trip, I used it and it was wonderful. Contemporary to Pop was somewhere around $10. After spending 1 1/2 hours earlier in the day getting from POP to Poly, it was money well spent.
I am a regular Uber user at home in Chicago and I had great experiences in Orlando too.

We had an uber driver from a hotel on international drive to an outlet mall and it was awful. The driver tried to pull away while I was still outside buckling my daughters car seat in, and then she couldn't figure out how to get something to work on her über app or whatever it is that rings up the fare, and asked my sister to call uber from my sisters phone. It was a weird experience. The über driver we had for the return trip wasn't as bad. But be wary that you may not get an über professional if you use über.

I never used Uber. Should I put the app on my IPhone? Is that the best way to contact them? If I know that I need them at a specific time, should I call ahead?

I've used Uber a ton at Disney and had all good experiences. The app is the only way to get a car. There's no booking ahead, just request the car when you need it.

Does the Uber driver have any problem driving thru the security gates to the different resorts and how does Uber get thru to parks without paying for parking???

Anyone can pick up and drop people off at the parks. They just have to tell the parking attendant that is what they're doing. The only park you cannot pick up/drop off at is MK. You'd either have to Uber to CR and walk or Uber to TTC and take the ferry/monorail.
