Has anyone used UBER for hotel to port for DCL?

Planning on using UBER for port transfer. Any thoughts, tips or experiences? Thanks in advance

I have used Uber from airport to port in Houston/Galveston. It was fine, but a couple of things to consider:

- We needed UberXL for three people and our luggage for our 7-night cruise, which was significantly more expensive than regular Uber.
- We didn't end up Uber-ing back after the cruise because with two ships in port, surge pricing would have been (and ended up being) in place at that moment.
- The cost of Galveston Express (shared shuttle) was actually slightly less than UberXL. We tried that on the way back and thought it was a good option.

So, although this is maybe too Galveston-specific, it might be applicable to other ports, as well.

We used Uber in Miami. We flew in the evening before and stayed at an airport hotel. We got an UberXL from the hotel to cruise port. It was $30 and took about 20 min. Regular Uber was $15 but with 4 people and 3 suitcases, we opted for the XL. We took a cab back to airport after the cruise. It is a flat $27 from POM to MIA.

We used Uber in Port Canaveral. It was easy. The driver knew just where to go. No problems.

FYI: it’s about 45 minuets from the Orlando Airport to the Port and a little over an hour from WDW to the Port.

I am also interested if anyone has used an Uber from the Marriott Courtyard in Cocoa Beachto Port. We would be looking at being picked up at 10:00 am or is it better to request a taxi? I don't want to use the transportation the Marriott provides as they make other stops.

I used Lyft from the Grand Floridian to PC, total was $59.22 with a brief stop at a Target because our luggage was ripped and we had to get some tape for it.
