Has anyone used Uber as transportation to/from Hollywood Studios?

We are going to Hollywood Studios in a week or so, and are planning to use Uber to get us to HS. We have always just driven our rental car there, but this time decided not to bother with a rental car. We are only doing one day on this trip, and plan to use Uber. We are planning to get there for opening (hopefully) and I've been wondering how close Uber can drop us off by the entrance to the park? Any suggestions as to when Ubers are allowed to enter the HS parking lot/entrance area? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

We have used Lyft many times. The designated drop area for HS is close to the skyliner. We are definitely not rope-drop people, but I assume they would enter the parking lots the same time as other cars. We have occasionally had trouble getting an Uber at park closing time--multiple cancelled and had to wait 30+ minutes. It helps to have both Uber and Lyft installed and ready to go so you can switch back and forth based on availability.

Hope someone has done this recently and can answer....

But I have heard others report there are shortages right now and that delays are common at premium times - park opening and closing. And drivers are aware of delays and tend not to want to do those pickups. Might be better doing a drop off at the gas station near the Boardwalk or just plan on after park opening.

Drop off is near the skyway, but your limited to when the entrance opens.

You can also drop off at Riviera resort for an easy walk to the Skyliner.

Not really an advantage since theyd still need to transfer at CBR to continue on to HS.

Could try dropping off at a closer resort and walking the rest if youre looking to beat the parking gate guests. If you dont want to walk I’d just use the rental car since entrance time is the same as rideshare anyway.

Swan is within walking distance, and reports are that there are no pesky security guards to deal with.
