I was reading the information on the website and they have the Gofirst option where you can upgrade (for a fee) to first class and this can be done beginning 30 hours before your flight.
Has anyone done this? It seems like a nice treat if you can get a seat for a good price.

I've never done that on USAirways, but I have used a similiar program with Alaska Airlines. They alllow you to upgrade (for a fee) at the airport the day of your flight if seats are available. It's nice when airlines allow customers to do that sort of thing. It keeps people coming back in hopes that they may be able to upgrade their flight -- or well, at least it does that for me :)

The frequent flyer preferred passengers are upgraded before 30 hours. So the only way the GoUpgrades would be available is if all the preferred are already upgraded.

I figured it could not hurt to call at the 30 hours prior. I was able to upgrade a few years ago at the gate because they were actually calling over the PA system to see if anyone wanted to upgrade to 1st class, at the time it was an extra $50.
The flight down looks pretty full, but it can't hurt to ask.

From Pittstown, US Air will chage $100 for a one-way upgrade to Orlando. It's $50 for each 500 mile (or portion of) segment.

Thank you Anne, I was wondering what the cost would be.
