I have it on my rsv but now Im thinking its to much trouble. was it hard to plan your meals and keep up with? Im having trouble picking which ts to reserve.

Depending on WHO is going and how many of you are going, it is a GREAT way to really enjoy different restaurants or foods you normally wouldn't "treat" yourself . ( I am such a budget freak, but with the meal plan, I "allowed" myself some really delicious meals and didn't have to worry about the cost... it was paid for ahead of time!!) And believe me, we ATE GOOD... lobster, shrimp, and every single nite, we ate smothered bleu cheese new york steak! PURE BLISS after a day at the parks !! :woohoo: :dancer:

we've used it twice and even if they double the price (shhh! don't tell them i said this) we would still use it... it is wonderful not to have to reach in your pocket and it's well worth its cost :)

oh, and it's VERY easy too! every receipt has the number of credits left printed on the bottom :)

Don't cancel it! You'll kick yourself if you do.

We used it in July and are using it again in April. It is a great deal!! :thumbsup2

Not hard to use at all. Very, very easy.

Enjoy your trip!

We used it last year - it is the greatest thing ever. Here is a breakdown:

We got if for free due to the promotion last year, but it would of cost us roughly 800.

Looking at my "tally sheet" (I kept track of how much we didn't pay due to the dining plan), we had (for 3 adults and 1 child), $1200 worth of meals put on the dining plan.

So, overall, it saved us roughly 1200.

Definitely worth it.

Even better if you can share and split meals - stretch them out!

Keep it! It's great!! Like Abe bb we were able to use the promo last fall & we loved it so much we're paying for it (oh well) this year! I, too, kept track of how much the we would have spent (2 adults) for 8 days & it was nearly $800...(this year -for 9 days- it will be around $684) so even if it saves us $100 we're doing it. Every penny counts!! It was great! We did try some new places we hadn't been & the our faves too. All the CM were great about it too. Nothing to worry about!!
Have a great trip!

Too much trouble and money for us. We eat a few meals out of the parks including occasional sandwiches, snacks, and drinks in our room at the resort. Scheduling a large number of sit-down meals cuts into our flexibility.

The dining plan is tempting because it is a good value for the amount of food and the number of meals. I haven't ruled it out yet for our next visit, but I figure it would cost us an extra $250 or so over a 7-day period (family of 4 "adults") when compared to our usual food budget. :worried:

We used it with ease. Loved it. Plenty of food...great places to choose from. We think it was an excellent value & would use it again in a heartbeat. We never felt like it affected our schedules. We toured with no real schedule, except knowing where we needed to be for dinner. Also, it gave us a nice excuse to see other resorts (Poly, WL, & Contemporary).

I'm planning (hopefully) a trip the end of September, just hubby & I. We share a LOT of meals to control both waste and waist!

We are going to be there for 7 days, but want to buy just 5 days worth of dining. Is that possible?

Also, as I understand it, you can only buy dinning if you are staying at a WDW resort, but not one of the 'on-premise' places by Downtown Disney. Please correct me if I am mistaken.

Thanks.

You are right...the DP is only for onsite resort guests.

Your dining credits are tied to the number of nights in your ressie, so you would have to purchase the DP for your entire stay. The only way around it is to make to separate ressies. One for a package & one for a room only. BUT, if you are planning to pay for 5 days (actually nights) worth & spread them out to 7, it won't work. Your credits are only good until midnight of your check out day.

I hope that made sense!

we used the dining plan in dec and LOVED IT was ate at places we never would have, the food was great and it helpus plan our day alittle more and gave us nice sit down meals with our boys some planned downtime

Yes, we had the dining plan in June & we are using it again this December.

You asked if its hard to plan..no, just requires that you plan ahead on which park you are going to be in each day and which TS you want to eat at on that day. For instance on a MK day, I planned Dinner at Ohana..it worked out great & I actually liked knowing where I am eating ahead of time. But I am a planner.
However we didn't plan our CS or snacks so that allowed us to be somewhat spontanious (sp?)

HTH
