Has Anyone Used Southwest More Rewards Program for booking Car Rentals?

I would like to know if anyone has experience with using the Southwest Rapid Rewards "More Rewards" program to rent a car in Orlando?

It appears that I can rent a minivan for 6 to 7 days for less than 30,000 RR pts. This seems to be a pretty good deal since it works out to an equivalent of about $300. The online rates from rental companies compares right now at about $600 for a minivan.

I am wondering IF I had to cancel, would the RR pts go back into my account. I can call their office Monday but would like to go ahead and book now while the car is available.

Anyone know??

I am actually trying to do this right now with my rapid rewards. We have points we will not be using and wanted to rent a minivan for 29733 points. The problem I am having is we are flying into Orlando and out of Tampa. When renting the minivan I get to the very end to review and it has pickup and dropoff at same location. i will be calling Monday to see if we can drop off at Tampa. When searching it allows me to put in Tampa.
I think if you cancel your rental you may not get your points back but I would double check because Im not really sure.
I know compared to flights you dont get as good of a deal on other rewards but we need to use up our points and cancel the card. We have already booked our 3 free flights

Upon double checking, I was figuring incorrectly. I had keyed in info for transferring points, not buying, so it would be much higher than $300!!

I have about 375,000 points in my RR account and was looking to use them other than paying cash. Now back to the drawing board, it looks right now that rental cars through Undercover Tourist is the best buy so far at $474 compared to around $600 for minivan.
