Has anyone used Magical Journeys to book their trip?

Do they give good deals? Do you feel obligated to use them if you ask for a quote? What happens if you book with them, then there is a code? Thanks!

I used them last year and had no problems. I booked in June 2005 for our September 2006 trip. We had a room only to start with because that would have been the cheapest at the time but as soon as the free dining package came out they had already had me switched over.

On our next trip though I think I am going to give Dreams Unlimited a try since I am on this board more now.

If you are booked at rack rate and then a code comes out and is available, they will convert the reservation automatically and then notify you. I have noticed that the boards where they post and here are the first two places to post about any new discounts, even before Mousesavers, etc., so you can't go wrong with either one.

DH and I love to use them. We used them last year and they did a great job. We are using them again this year and they helped us score free dining once it came out. We booked with them before it was announced and they just emailed us and said they added it to our trip once it was announced. You don't need to feel obligated to buy thru them if you get a quote just send them an email saying your looking around. They will hold your reservcatiopn for so long then cancel it. No need to put money down for them to hold it for a bit. You only put money down to secure the reservation.:thumbsup2

I've been using Magical Journeys for over five years now and highly recommend the group but Karen in particular as she's gone above and beyond for me personally in several instances over the years. They are Earmarked which is about the highest honor Disney are able/willing to bestow an agency.

I am registered on several Disney boards but will stick with this group regardless where they post/advertise because they're that great.

Thanks! So if I go with them, they should be able to keep an eye open for specials, correct? I submitted my request yesterday. When do you think I will hear from them? Is it usually by phone or email? Do they do anything with airfare?

They will definitely keep both eyes out for you and promptly contact you.

They have a pretty quick turnaround and I wouldn't be surprised if you have an email today.

Is it usually by phone or email?
My contact is almost exclusively email. I can't speak for others though.

Do they do anything with airfare?

I don't think so.

I used to use them, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. The only reason I'm using another agency this time is that MJ will only help with stays of at least 3 nights, and of the 3 nights we are staying next trip, we may move one offsite to Port Canaveral.

In fact, to be honest I feel that I got slightly more personal, going the extra mile service from them than anywhere else. The first time I used them I got along so well with the girl I spoke to that we ended up talking on the phone for over an hour about stuff not even involved with the trip :lmao: Last time I used MJ, I told the TA (diff one) that while I would like to make reservations at Pop Century, that I really really dreamed of staying at the deluxe's and to please let me know if she heard of any deals. Every time something new popped up she was sure to send me an email and let me know. I have a feeling I'm going to miss that!

I received a reply from Denise. She seems very nice. She will be in touch with me as soon as the new rates come out. I have a feeling I may book with them.

If you guys are talking about "Your Magical Journeys," all I can say is that the lady that we have been working with from the company is great.

We have been going to WDW every year for a very long time, and it is the first time we have used a travel agent like this. I don't know what took us so long!

We used to search the boards for the codes like lots of people here do. There is simply no reason to do this. They do all of the work for you.

We will never book another reservation without using them. We have also recommended them to many of our friends.

Karen at MJ is the best!!! I have used them the last three trips and absolutely love them. I have an AP and never have to worry about when the AP rates come out. As soon as they do, Karen applies it to my reservation. Try them, you won't be disappointed:thumbsup2

Now I am feeling guilty saying above that I might not use them the next trip and use Dreams Unlimited instead. They did give me great service so maybe I shouldn't mess with a good thing. I like the fact though Dreams Unlimited will make our dining reservations also. Although I know that isn't hard or anything because I did it last time.

Oh well, I guess I have a year or so to decide.
