Exploring my options for my April trip. I have called Fairy Godmothers's and Kid's Night Out....have not read as many reviews on Kid's Night Out. They are a bit less exspensive BUT what I really liked was how friendly they were to speak with! I will not base my decision on the price...there is no price tag when my kid's are involved! :teeth: Just want some opinions on the options!

Hi there! We used Kids Nite Out last summer. It was my DH and I and our son, (5 1/2) and our very good friends and their 2 daughters (6 and 3 1/2) came with us. We were staying at the Boardwalk Villas and had dinner at Flying Fish and then went to Jellyrolls.

We had Sam and she was just great with the kids! She brought games and projects for them to do, took the kids down to the ice cream shop on the Boardwalk and to the playground. They watched movies up in our villa and they had as great of a time as we did on Adults Nite Out ;) Sam was really sweet and she came early to talk to us and sign any paperwork and to get to know the kids while we were there.

We would totally use KNO again! :)

Sounds like you and your dh etc have the same idea of a great night out as we do! :rotfl: We will be at the BWV as well and looking for a little adult time. Youngest ds is only 2 so the clubs are not an option.

I just had a nice feeling about KNO..thanks. I also called All About Kid's and they were super friendly as well!So nice to even have these options to consider!

We used KNO for 2 nights - (1.5 and 3.5 yr old) - Both had a great time - same sitter came for both nights - My 1.5 yr old had (up til then) never been in day care - so I was nervous - but the KNO staff comes with toys, etc - and seem to be pros at entertaining the kids.

The prices are - IMO - rather exorbitant - but I guess when you are at Disney - it is to be expected - as my husband says -- the most Magical part of Disney is the way they separate you from your money!

We used KNO when Dd was 16months old. We were extremely pleased. Our sitter, can't remember her name, was on time and very professional. We got some food for DD at the food court, we were staying at AKL. The sitter fed her and got her in bed--and DD was actually asleep when we got back from dinner. Another thing I just thought of, that night after leaving DD with the sitter DH realized while waiting for the bus that he'd forgotten something in the room. He just went to walk in like normal, but the sitter had the door deadbolted nad chained shut. Then she wouldn't let him in until she could verify that it was actually DH. I was impressed that she was so careful! We had a great night out to dinner and DD had a good time with the sitter.

Can anyone tell me what the minimum age is for infants? My sons will be 2.5 yrs and 2.5 mos when we go and we were thinking of possibly getting a sitter just for an hour or two one night so we can have some much needed alone time (keep your minds clean, that's not what I meant :teeth: ). We would just go grab a bite to eat at the resort and go for a walk, so we wouldn't be far away at all...
