I noticed about a month ago that I no longer receive coupons for Tide or Gain laundry detergent in our P&G BrandSaver. I went online to the website and it is very rare that I can find a coupon for either brand. On Sunday, I noticed that when you go online, you can get the "coupon" in the form of a rebate that you claim through Flipp (similar to Ibotta, Checkout51, etc) which will work when I shop at Meijer and Target. The catch with this app is that you cannot stack coupons so if I find a printable coupon, I can use it but I cannot submit for the rebate. That's kind of a bummer, but two things I found that I really like...
1) I can redeem to PayPal with NO MINIMUM!
None of that waiting until I get to $10-$20 to get my money. It takes 1-2 days for them to process and verify the receipts so it's not "instant", but at least it's something.
2) If I get home and realize I bought something that had a rebate/coupon available, I can still get the value. This is particularly helpful when DH decides to make a grocery run since he NEVER remembers to look for or bring coupons with him
.
They also have coupons you can load to your store card. For me, Meijer mPerks is the only one I have easy access to and I haven't tried it yet. We shop at Meijer/Target (they are next door to each other!) at least once a week so this might be something I can add to my rewards portfolio. I will still probably use paper coupons at the store, when possible, since I would prefer to spend less OOP, but when that isn't possible due to availability, I find this to be a nice alternative.
