Has anyone used ephedrine to lose weight?

I know, ephedrine has some possible harmful side effects , that being said I am just really wondering if anyone else might be using this? I took a form of it about 9 years with an over the counter drug called Xenadrine. I lost 30 pounds using it along with diet and exercise. But I've gained most of it back after 2 more kids. I've decided to try it again because I am in such a rut to lose this last 20 pounds that just seem to hang on. I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried or is using it, have they seen any positive results.

I also used to use ephedrine about 10 years ago (stacker). They outlawed it for a long time, and now I believe the FDA has allowed for ephedrine to be sold in the US again along as it is not in conjunction with caffeine, as it was previously. My suggestion is don't use it. It causes heart attacks in teenagers. If it can do that kind of damage to a healthy heart, imagine what it can do to yours. I use 5 hour energy before I go to the gym and I LOOOVE it. I never drink the whole thing, just half, but that is plenty of energy to drive me through 1.5 - 2 hours of cardio (as long as I don't get bored!).

You have three little ones who need their Mom. :goodvibes I used Xenadrine many years ago, too, it worked but the all the weight, and more, is back. I wouldn't use it without talking with your doctor. Just because you used it before without problems doesn't mean you would be so fortunate again. Here is some pixie dust for you pixiedust: that you will find something that works for you that is safe. Good luck!

I would not use it. The problem with the weight loss drugs is that you are still you. Once you stop using the drugs do you still need to address the habits that got you to the point where you wanted to use drugs to change.

Try losing by making healthy choices, there is no easy fix. I know becasue I tried so many of them looking for an answer but for me, WW worked becasue I learned how to change my eating habits. I did not mask them .

Good luck!

Ephedrine won't make up for a poor diet and lack of exercise, but if those things are in order, it can definitely help shed some body fat. Once the weight is off, it's up to you to maintain it. I've used ephedrine many times in the past and wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

An ECA stack (Ephedrine-Caffeine-Aspirin) is a well known way of losing a bit more weight. But it can be dangerous if you aren't careful. Don't take it and then go running. And, as stated, it would help with results, not make up for currently poor diet habits.

It's also important to taper your dosing. I've used an ECA stack in the past with great results.
