Has anyone used DVC Sales?

I don’t like their online offering system. Maybe it’s because I’m a buyer and not a seller.

If you offer is too low the system rejects it. Also you cant state in your offer that seller pays closing costs or current dues. You have to absorb both.

The female rep is clueless how the ROFR process works. She believes in the misconception that DVC has 30 days to respond once notified.

Furthermore she believes that DVC operates with a hard floor for taking back the contracts. Any price below $xx for a particular resort will have the monster take it. When called out on it she don’t answer back. Basically she is just arrogant and one to steer clear of.

Just make the offer & clarify all your details when they contact you. Anything you put on the offer (on the website) is in no way binding, its just a way for them to weed out people, but just play their game, then clarify what your offer is when they contact you. ;)

We sold our PVB contract through them in May and we were very pleased with the process.

Their software allowed us to set our selling price and set a floor for any counter offers below this price. Basically we would only be notified of offers at or above X price. In our case, we asked $169 and only wanted to be provided with offers of $160+. We could see some activity that was rejected right away due to offers at $145 and $150. Within a week of listing our contract, we had received an offer we were happy with and accepted it. Closing on the sale took no more time than closing on purchases we have made through other companies. Plus, they charged us less in commission fees than others.

The seller, not the broker, is the decision maker when it comes to setting floor prices.

As a recent buyer, I’d rather just know at the time of offer if my offer is too low, rather than waiting to hear from the broker about the seller’s response.

They’re my favorite seller. Easiest process I’ve had in any sale - and I’ve had 5.

We used them last year as a buyer and no problems. With the online system, didn't need to wait for the broker to submit our offer. We probably could've gone back and forth further with counters, but we were down to a couple hundred difference. Like any real estate transaction, the most important thing is the title company!

But the thing is they don't contact you until the sellers has accepted your offer, until then its electronic and you only receive an email.

I give them high marks.

You can use their system to see what they are showing the sellers in regards to current market pricing.

Bought our first resale contract through them last year. Everything went very smoothly.

I used them for my first DVC resale purchase. I've used other sites as well, but I really like how DVC Sales site is setup to view the negotiation of the contract. I give it an A+ experience.

We used them last year for the first time on a PVB contract and communication was great, everything went very quickly and was probably the easiest resale deal we’ve done out of a dozen or so over the past 8 years.
