Has anyone used dreams unlimited?

I've been hearing that they are free TA? Is this true? All I want is a room only ressie. Would I be more apt to get a code applied to my ressie if they booked it for me? Please tell me your experiences.

we used DU last year for room only ressie with a AAA discount initially...as soon as codes came out they got them applied for me....they are FREE and can also get you PS without a phone bill and got us CRT

Go to their website, www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and "get a quote". The form asks some questions like - do you have an AP? are you a member of AAA?

They'll provide a "room only" quote for you that is the lowest you can get as of that date. Your ressie is held for 2 weeks so you have time to decide. If you choose to book, you will give them a CC # and one night will be charged (actually, the charge will be from WDW). They will assign a TA and you will communicate with that person via email. The TA will get any PS's you want (and are more likely to get the "hard" ones for you, like CRT, than if you tried to do it yourself!)

Here's another very useful benefit: let's say that a discount becomes available after you've booked, DU will make the adjustment to your ressie - you don't even have to contact them to say you heard about a discount......

Give them a try - they're really first rate.

If dealing with DU instead of directly dealing with the resort, would you have a better/worse/same chance of getting room requests met at Disney hotels (say, for instance, requesting Samoa longhouse facing the volcano pool at the Polynesian?

I would think your requests for this type of thing are going to be the same chances as if you do it on your own. These types of requests are NEVER guaranteed- I think if your request was simple "volcano pool view" or "samoa longhouse" your better of than if you combine the 2 etc..

But who knows, I could be 100% wrong!

Yup... we returned from our August trip to find an e-mail saying that the new discount code that was released during our vacation was applied to our upcoming December trip. We didn't even know a code had been released since we were "tuned out" during vacation. What a great time to find we'd saved ~$300!

DU also booked our CP package on the morning of 9/2 and got our first choice. Our assigned DU agent planned to be on vacation on 9/2 but was sure to have another agent handle that booking for us so we wouldn't miss out on the opening day! She's also handled all of our other PSs for this trip. We've been very pleased with their service and responsiveness!

That said, Dreams goes above and beyond. I have been to travel school and have two decades of event planning experience under my belt, and I use Dreams. They make life so much easier.

They have never disappointed me with a PS request and last year's room preferences were met--even though we had three rooms and wanted the most popular building.

I am using them for our trip in November, they are right on top of it. They have been able to get all of our dining and activity requests, along with suggestions for the itinerary.

If i meet the code criteria will I be guareented the low rate. I am planning a stay at WL (woodsview). I was hoping for a good code and that we would hopefully change the view to courtyard if the codes allow. Will they switch views and stuff like that? Do they automatically check all ressie when the new codes come out? I think I have a code obsession here! It is just a lot of $$$ and I as well as all of you want to get the best deal I can. By the way, I love this board. Everyone has helped me out so much. I went to Disney last year and I knew nothing and spent way to much money and missed out on so much. Not this trip, I'm ready.

With any code, even AAA rates, rates are based on rooms being available for that rate.

They are terrific about applying any code that you are entitled to. I have gotten my room only rates changed several times in the past. I love DU and recommend them to everyone I meet! Yes, I love the 'thrill of the chase' thing and being able to control my own plans. But there are times that I just can't be sitting by the phone, on hold, in order to get that great AP rate. So, my agent at DU gets it for me. Needless to say, most of us use the same agents over and over.

Absolutely recommend them! They will work with you to get the best available price! I've only ever needed room only reservations and they have been great, they take the hassle out of arranging PS's as well.

I used DU the last time we went to the World and in planning this trip for next August I've already contacted Shirley. She's great and last year got us a huge discount about 45 days before the trip began. They check constantly. She also got us PS at Teppenyaki and breakfast at AK.

I'm a control freak and want to plan everything but Shirley did a great job and answered every question within a few hours of the email.
