I am planning my first trip to WDW and I am wondering what kind of discounts are available through CAA. Could someone who has used CAA tell me about any discounts they were able to get. Thanks!

I heard from someone that you get a discount at the World of Disney store in DTD if you are a AAA/CAA member. Does anyone know if this is true?

WHen we booked there was little to no difference in Price. They didn't seem to interested in us sence we werent flying. Thats ok the ppl at disney were more than happy to book us 6 months age. We even called back and asked if there was any discounts 2 weeks ago and they said yes and gave us money back. I bet thats something caa wouldn't do. I will however get my triptik before we head down lol.

You can phone Disney directly and ask for a discount on your hotel rooms with the CAA/AAA room only discount. If you want to purchase a package then you need to go through CAA for that.

It has to be the Gold card or something. I showed my card and asked for a discount but it didn't qualify. I just have a regular membership.

You can use the CAA card to get a discount on food at Universal Studios however. I think it's 10%.

I dont know. We booked our room through disney no caa discount. It was only a few hundred more. As I said though they were interested in selling me a vacation. Caa on the other hand wasnt when they found out we were driving. Why I dont know. We just called down and asked them if they had any discounts now. They checked and said yes and gave us monsy back. I never once mentioned caa to them. If you want caa/aaa discount after buying I say good luck. You can try though.

I'm not sure if I understand your post. Disney has CAA/AAA discounts for their hotel rooms. The discount ranges from 10 to I think 20% depending if you book a value, moderate or deluxe hotel. There are only so many of these discounts per hotel per night and they often go quickly so may not be available if you don't book early enough. If you would like to purchase a whole package (park passes and hotel) with the CAA discount, that has to be booked with CAA directly and not through Disney.

We don't purchases packages just reserve our hotel rooms at Disney by calling Disney. We always reserve really early and have always got the CAA discount on the room only reservation. Maybe you got a different discount if you didn't ask for a CAA one.

I am aware of the book asap for discounts. We booked as soon as we could which was as soon as disney allowed you to book for the days we wanted. There would have been caa discounts and there was what im saying is the caa agent was not interested in making a reservation for us she would have but she didnt want to give us the time of day sence we didnt want air line tickets. She kept saying you wouldnt save money. She gave us her quote which was cheaper than disney but sence she was such a B***H I decided to call disney and they were more than happy to book my vacation. Now that that is done. What I am now saying is we paid for our holidays and all is set we decided to call disney to see if there was any discounts they could give us on our trip which is 100% paid for they checked and said sure and gave us money back. What I am now saying is with caa after you book your trip and pay for it thats it no getting any money back without cancelling. If you have a paid disney vacation through CAA call them and ask if you can get any money back they will laugh at you and say NO. With Disney they said yes. Thats what i'm saying. So you may save money in the beginning with caa but in the long run Disney catches up. No hassels with caa just go disney. Yes I have CAA membership it is the RV one. One thing I didnt think of was to ask Disney about the caa discount. Thanks for that I will call and see if I can sneak that one in lol Anyway were set and ready to go.

I got 20% off CBR two years in a row during March Break

World of Disney store is 10% discount....we bought our Disney Crocs there in March.

Disney boats were 10% off too.

We saved a lot of using CAA.

When you book a package through CAA, you get a special card for this discount.

As a CAA TA, let me clear this up.

Disney gives CAA/AAA a certain number of rooms/packages at a discounted rate. Sometimes, we sell these all and there is no discount to book with CAA. This applies at really peak times, most of the time, the discount is available with CAA as long as something is available.

You can book either the package, or the room only, at a discount. You might be able to do this with Disney, but I have no idea...

CAA is not able to change the rates given by Disney. Once a rate is given, it can't be discounted, we have no flexibility there. However, we usually have the lowest rates compared to booking directly through Disney.

Thanks, that helps explain it. Could you tell me the average discount on a package deal through CAA, as opposed to a room only? I am thinking of staying at Wilderness Lodge, but if we cannot afford that, then probably Pop. We also plan on getting the whole package deal - park tickets, dining plan, etc. and wondered what kind of discount was available through CAA for that. And one last question - you wouldn't happen to be located in the Ottawa area - we are looking to sign up with CAA and would like to find a travel agent through them. Thanks for your help!

This is what i'm tring to say. My room rate was cheaper originally through caa. But I didnt go that route. I decided to go with disney. Sence then we have asked to see if there is any discounts they say yep. We are now par with what caa quoted. I'm sorry if I confused anybody. Sometimes I have a hard time explaing what i'm tring to say. lol We are going to call them again to see if there is anything else they can do. Ya never know. I would sudjest to everyone going no matter where you get your room or package. Call and see if there are any discounts that can be applied now. Every penny saved now is a penny we can spend in the parks lol

We booked our vacation with CAA today, so I can actually contribute to this. :thumbsup2 We booked 6 nights in a king bed room at POR, 7 day hoppers with waterpark addition, and DDP. When I looked up the price on disney's website last night it came to about $2450. Booking with CAA, it was about $400 cheaper. Sure made my day! (As if booking a vacation to WDW isn't exciting enough on it's own! )

Unless there's a code, I always get the CAA discount through Disney. It's usually cheaper, though, to get tickets from one of the recommended 3rd party sellers. I checked and UnderCoverTourist and MapleLeaf tickets are both cheaper. Since DDP is actually more money than we normally spend on food, that's all we need. I usually book our stopovers on the way down through the CAA website, though. For planning, they can't be beat.

As someone else mentioned, if you drop by Universal brandish your CAA card everywhere. Almost everything is 10% off.

While staying in florida this past march break, we decided to stay another week. We had to leave the house we were at , so i called 407-disney and asked about a rate for pop century for a week for march 16-23 , and originally was quoted $870 or something in that area. I told them i had caa/aaa and was given a discount which became $790 for the week. CAA discounts are out there , so don't be afraid to ask they can only say no right ? Good luck.:thumbsup2
