Has anyone used an ECV[scooter]at DL??

Our hotel is the Dessert Palm on Katella same side of road as DL. How would I get my offsite rental ECV[scooter] to the DL entrance? do the Shuttles have wheelchair lifts?? I'm I right in thinking that there isn't any close parking?

Any help will be a great help.

I believe your hotel backs up to the Lion King parking area. You should be able to use a walkway to get to the shuttle stop in the parking area and take the shuttle to the "shuttle area" just a few short steps from DL front gates.

I'm sure it would be easier to have the walking party walk with the ECV person to the shuttle stop in the Lion King parking area, rather than load the EVC in the car and drive to the parking structure.

The trams have a wheelchair ramp that the CM's attach to the tram and you would just drive the EVC up on the tram. Do what ever is needed to lock it in place and off you would go.

You can go to www.disneyland.com and e-mail guest services and ask them exactly how you could get from your hotel to DL using the trams, give them the exact address of the Desert Palm. But I'm pretty sure I have read of others staying in the Convention area walking to the Lion King parking area and using the DL trams to get to the park.

There is "15 Minute" handicapped parking right next to the tram loading area & you should be able to load & unload there. I'm trying to remember how close the Desert Inn is to the entry, and I think it really is just across the street, which means it would probably be easier to walk/drive than load the ECV and unload it.
