Has anyone tried using the AAA Diamond card offered at WDW?

On my last rip I picked upp the AAA guide for discounts to WDW. In it it mentioned a AAA Diamond card guests could get if they were staying at the Disney Resorts. It wasn't very specific, so I wanted to find out if anyone had used this before, and how it worked. It had some really great discounts listed, so I would like to get one this trip (8/8-8/13) if possible. Thanks in advance.
Nichole:cool:

I got this card when i booked a trip from AAA. I think that is the only way to get them. As for the discounts from it... I don't remeber any thing exciting.

They do have a parking pass which is good for parking in the front of the lot.

In my limited experience, the AAA parking pass is useless. If you get to the parks early in the day, you don't need a pass to park in front. If you get to the parks later on, the AAA spaces are full.

I liked having the AAA Diamond Parking Pass. It was beneficial a few times, not needed a few more, and unusable twice. So, considering the fact that it is free, why not take it along and use it if you can?

I used the AAA diamond discount card a two years ago and the discounts were very similar to the Disney Club.

I asked for the Parking Pass From My AAA Travel Agent who helped me to book alot of the bits and pieces for our trip. He could Dial a direct line to Disney and get correct answers Faster than I could!! Plus he found discounts and info I never would have known about!!

As for the AAA Parking Pass,If you are Able Bodied and not appossed to a extra 5 or 10 minute walk to get into MK then it maybe a good Choose for you,HOWEVER the Draw back is there are NO Trams that pick-up you up???WE [I have a bad knee]]could get closer by Parking in the regular parking and taking a TRAM.[we didn't use it at any other Park]

BUT that still left a Mile Walk to the Monorail or the Fairies!! You can't think of it like getting a close parking space at the Grocery Store. It's like getting the Long Term Parking at the Airport,as close as you park, you still have a shuttle ride and a long walk passed the ticketing area, to get to the Gate for your Flight!! Now Add a 5 to 10 minute walk to that!!

If you need close for a disability,We had good luck telling the Parking person for the Row,that I needed close parking to the tram. They were really good about getting us close to the end by the Tram road.

I think tink2dw summed it up very well. I used the AAA diamond parking pass on two occassions. I got our pass by just asking the AAA clerk when I bought our WDW passes at AAA... The first time the clerk wasn't sure if she was supposed to give them to (because we didn't book the entire trip with AAA) but she did give them to me and the second time, I was given TWO passes with no questions asked! LOL You really don't need two passes if you only have one car... I think the AAA clerk thought I should get two because we had two adult hopper passes?? I'm not sure, but I do sense that the clerks aren't exactly positive when to give them out... at least at my local AAA office.
