Has anyone tried to renew their Annual Pass?

I called Member Services this morning trying to RENEW my Annual Pass and was told they couldn't help me. The web-site specifically says to contact Member Services and they would process the purchase. It also states that in order to receive the DVC discount, purchase must be made on or prior to your Anniversary Date.

Has anyone else had any luck? My Pass expires on 1/24/2005 and we don't go to WDW until 1/26/2005.

call ms again - and if the person still can't help you - ask to speak to a supervisor.

however I know with the regular AP renewals you can renew anything within 30 days and still receive the discount.
 
I'd also recommend calling the AP passholders number on the back of your pass.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did that as well. They couldn't help me either. I dropped an e-mail to Member Services. So, hopefully I will hear something in the next few days.

Don't worry about it. No need to renew before you arrive. Just renew when you get here.

I may end up doing just that. However, the DVC web-site says you must renew on or before your Anniversay Date in order to get the discount. Hopefully, Member Services will respong to my e-mail in the next few days.

I'm interested in doing this as well. Please let us know what kind of response you get to your e-mail.
 
No need to renew when you calculate the discount on the renewal and the discount on the new purchase it works out to be the same so just let it expire and buy a new one when you get there.
 
I received an e-mail response from Member Services stating that they would be able to renew Annual Passes beginning January 11, 2005. I was instructed to call back at that time.
